- I know that we import WAY too much oil into the US and that the citizens of the US want some real and immediate change in energy policies. I myself have been pro-alternative fuel/energy ever since I first heard of biodiesel in 7th grade. I have also discussed the plan(when I researched it) with my co-workers and they too seem appreciative of it. I hope to spread the encouragement of alt. energy within the next few weeks or so.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- There is finally a realistic solution to American Energy. I now have an outlet to make the dream of a clean energy America a reality.
- What do you want to do to help?
- I want to see my employer's rules on solicitation so that I may petition the locals to join the Pickens Plan and spread the word of this glorious Energy Solution.

My Hometown is Not Green!
Not one fuel station has a form of clean energy! I speak of Carlisle, PA. People just commute through this town day in and day out. I work as a Cartpusher at the local Walmart and am BOMBARDED by toxic emissions! It's a miracle I can breathe out there!

Boone is so busy with his appearances pushing the plan and working to build the wind farm in Pampa, Texas, as well as other business dealings. The best way to get direction is to got o your area energy organizer.
I sure hope you can quickly get 100 signatures. We need to get this to huge numbers.

Saw your note to Rob Hurley. You do not need to make a petition, they already exist. Just print down one of the pledges and add lined paper to it instead of Boone's lines. Most people would rather sing a petition, than "the pledge". I put NAME - ADDRESS and EMAIL across the top of the lined sheet and fill in my info on the top line to set up the format. People will sign something that others are signing with more ease than one per page. Just a psychological thing.
Any ?'s, just ask! I do not let it be a deal breaker if they feel uneasy about giving an email or do not have one. It's o.k. ot to collect them.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES
The creators of this site have given us the ability, with little effort, to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too. Please go to "THE PLEDGE" (at the very top of this page on the blue header). On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue, and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS". Fill in the short, standard form. Done!
DOWNLOAD AND PRINT THE PLEDGE
Carry some copies with you and get as many as you can signed and faxed back to Boone. This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a part of the "100 CLUB" by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let me know when you are done and I will add you to that growing list!
BRING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN
The more members we have the bigger our voice to Congress! With enough members, they will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort. If you bring 5 members and THEY bring 5 members… well you can do the math!
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. Now is our chance to be a part of the solution!

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
A GROUP FOR EVERYONE
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST
We can always use new, fresh Welcome Wagon “drivers”! It is important that we greet each new member of Pickens Plan (as I am doing now to you!) and let him or her know what can be done immediately. If you have some free time during the day, let me know and I will send you explicit instructions! They are also on the blog on my page.
