Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
No experience with alternatives really, just concern for our foreign dependence and the earth's conservation. My time's very restricted now. I'm experienced in political grass roots organization and the widow of a small oil company owner who drilled in western Kentucky many years ago.
What excites you about this campaign?
It's grass roots. It's about educating the people. It's about involvement replacing complacency, proactive, inspiration, cooperation and colaboration. It's the American way.
What do you want to do to help?
I wish I had more time and availability. I'm disabled myself, caring for mother with Alzheimers, back up for 3 grandchildren living with me, KY carry conceal instructor and partner in a firearms training school, and helping my brother get his business running again after his ex- sabotaged the books. I can't commit to a "position", but we have to plug you into my time gaps.

Hi Joy!
Thank you for the friend. I look forward to hearing from you soon about your petition push- we only have 18 days until the new Congress is sworn in! THEY are the ones who need to hear us, seems like Obama already gets it!
Best

Hi Joy!
Please join your Congressional District.
They will need your help gathering 500 supporters. Petitions are the best way to do this.

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining the Pickens Plan. I just wanted to let you know that a real person out here appreciates you taking that first step.
After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to guide your path. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and when you are comfortable, letting others know about the website. The people here are interested in making the plan a success and those you invite should be able to see for themselves that this is the right place to be.
Here are further steps you might consider.
- Sign up to lead or help on the District page.
- Visit the My Energy page and get involved.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202)225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.
