Hello,
I am John Osborn. I am the new District FL-11 Leader for Pickens Plan. Come and visit our website and look at both the Events scheduled with movers and shakers in the nation and community as well as the new and updated data on the District FL-11 page. Add yourself to my friend list and also the District Group. If you attend one of our meetings, you will see the Pickens Plan has had new life breathed into it. Bring a friend, we have plenty of seating. We are having a guest speaker Thursday August 13th at 7:30 PM…see the Events tab on Pickens Plan website for maps and additional information.
Under my leadership you can have a tangible role in the operation of the district. Just let me know. Come to this months meeting and meet “David Gammon” of Progress Energy’s Renewable Energy Contracts department.

Judi,
While Boones Plan seems to emphasize wind it also recognizes its limitations and seeks to ween us from all imported fuels for true Energy Independence. Florida has all kinds of solar energy as you know but it must be stored during the evening hours which is its shortfall - just as transmission is wind power's. But the objective is to be independent and so if enough of us do what we can our leaders will listen and jump on board or not be re-elected.
Judi,
We are attempting to organize a meeting in Apollo Beach only four people have committed to come at his point - need at least 15 of the roughly 50 Pickens plan people to make it worthwhile.

Hi, I would like to invite you to join the local TAMPA BAY group. We are starting fresh for 2009 and we need your help to make a difference. We have a good group of people with diverse skills and backgrounds but we need to step up and take it to the next level. With your support I know we can do it.

Thank you for your reply. And yes, there are other pyrolysis facilities out there but it is my understanding that this process is different in that it breaks down all the parts and by-products of the tires and leaves NO harmful residue like other systems do.
I would be happy to send you and executive summary if you wish.
That's why I asked for the public primer before I sign an NDA. I see an awful lot of proposals, and I follow quite a few tech industries, and the recycling angle has always been something I believed in.
I'm quite familiar with the technology, the RK has a proven history. Is there something in the business plan that is new and unique? If the solution is regional then you might want to work the local angle for a 100% funded opportunity.
I can tell you that the plant will be built in one of the Mexican border states and that we can give you a full business plan with financials. The partner in this venture is Conrad Industries located in Centralia, Washington. Mr Conrad is owner and operator of a full scale demonstration facility in operation since 1986 in addition to his other ventures. His website is http://conradind.com/
My client needs 100% funding and is more than willing to negotiate a venture capital deal.
Yeah, I can sign an NDA. I generally like to have at least some idea how close the issue is to feasible first... Is there a web site where I can get an idea first? There are a lot of paranoid inventors, and in those cases the NDA isn't worth the ink wasted to sigh it.
Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Not too much personal experience but I do have a client who is attempting to find funding for a rubber tire processing plant that can turn every ounce of the rubber and by-products into usable energy with no unhealthy residue. Please let me know if you can recommend those who would like to fund such a project. The area targeted is the U.S. - Mexican Border. There are millions of tires piled over a 2000 mile distance along the border polluting the earth and water supplies. Please help or send me to someone who can.
What excites you about this campaign?
Being of service to the "green" community would be an honor. Even if we recruit people one at a time, we can make a difference.
What do you want to do to help?
I don't know yet. I need to take some time to research what you are doing to see where I would fit in.

What can you tell me publicly first?
