Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I have looked at wind power and solar as well but with the cost of everything going up I did not think I could afford either. My builder said I could cut a couple trees in my yard (of which we have many and plant a new one every year0 and that would fund solar pannels. I need to do the math and see if it will work then if so do it.
What excites you about this campaign?
I am so tired of talking about how we have free renewable energy at our fingertips and no one will listen or they says "yeah right, that's going to happen" in a sarcastic tone. I love that someone of influence is trying to get the message across to the general public. We need to get started on this as soon as possible. My Daddy use to say "You make your bed , and your gonna have to lay in it" How true that is today. We need to get loose of foreign oil and start car companies working again on alternative fueled vehicles now not later.
What do you want to do to help?
I could stuff envalopes with info and mail them , our Govenor just signed a bill for a wind farm in Michigan good start. write congressman and whatever suggestions come my way.

Merry Christmas Judith,
This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Judith, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.
BTW, Michigan: I just posted an article on my page about Home Wind Systems in Michigan. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.
(1) Please Go to THE PLEDGE (very top of this page) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done! Thanks.
(2) In addition to political support and action, I encourage you to consider a Personal Energy Plan in which you take control of your electricity by using home energy systems. That's what I do for a living, help people with their own home systems. I will be glad to help you and answer any questions. Below is some info and links that will give you an idea of where to start.
Greetings Judith,
Our cost effective, new roof mounting residential wind turbine kits are shipping now. They are sleek, attractive, and well designed. These are actually a home appliance on the roof, much like an antennae or satellite dish. They are as easy to install as other home appliances, dishwasher, etc. It's a nice clean way for you to begin a personal energy plan. These systems are inexpensive, easy to install, scaleable.
Your Wind blows stronger in the winter, Your Sun shines stronger in the summer months. This hybrid wind/solar system combines these cycles to give a more even flow of energy year round. This homeowner sized wind/solar system provides free power for your home. Many customers have found it easy to become customer/dealers of our kits. Customers can become a dealer with no further investment, they see quickly how people are easy to get interested.
I have used the same systems save money on my electricity costs and Judith, you can too. Your local wind resources are so good in Michigan. Have a look at these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. Zone 2 is OK, anything over 2 is (very) good. First double check your wind resources from the map and links below.
Glad I could help, does the Gov give tax rebates for installing solar pannels, or wind powered device, if not they should instead of some of the things they finance.....right...? I'm trying to do some kind of wind powered thing because I live by a lake and we have a lot of wind here, shame to let it go to waste...Judy from Mi
Hi,
What is the url for make your own wind turbine? I know there have been several sites posted here. I have a eons friend who is looking into putting one on here property.
Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. We need your help.
There is a perfect storm of events happening right now that create the possibility of a paradigm shift that is urgently needed. We have an angry citizenry due to pain at the pump, a presidential election on the horizon, and a man with a plan to dramatically and imminently reduce our dependance on foreign oil, and provide a bridge to future solutions, who has the resources, contacts, knowledge, wealth and "will" to get it done.
Please share this plan with your circle of friends, family and associates. Urge them to JOIN. As you know, it is simply like signing a petition. With large numbers of supporters, we can put pressure to bear on Congress to incentivize alternative and renewable energies, and insure that our future president will be a leader that will push for domestic energy solutions. JFK once said. "in the next 10 years we will put a man on the moon". He got it done. We need that kind of leadership on energy.
Time is of the essence. If gas prices retreat the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. How frightening to be looking back and apologizing to our children that we could not get this done when we had the chance.

Hi Judith,
I live in SW Missouri.
I personally think the cost for average people of having their own wind power, solar, cng car..what have you, is why most people don't have it now.
That is one thing that many people are trying to solve. Until I started reading hundreds and hundreds of posts on this site, doing hours of online research, I had no idea of the many resources out there. (Of course, there are many far fetch ideas also) I have ran across some small versions of wind power for the home.
There are some excellent groups here all many subjects with links to business. You are right, you have to do the math.
