Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
No
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I really do not have any except I used to live across from the mountain where they place windmills. I could not believe people complained about them. They said they were killing the birds. And that they were making too much noise and wind. Go figure, these people are not to keen on informing themselves and those are the people you need to concentrate on.
What excites you about this campaign?
I want to be a part of it! I want to work for Mr. Pickins. I want wind energy in every town in every state. LET THE SUN SHINE ON!!!
What do you want to do to help?
I would consider taking a job traveling with Mr. Pickins to help him organize things.
WELCOME and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan.
I am a volunteer greeter and I am a just one of dozens of people that do this, because we care. If you want, here is how you can help;

Just taking the time to come to this site is your first step. Now onto the second one. Reading this acting on it. Seems too simple? Not really, we need support in the way of names! Think you can handle that? If so, read on...

Try this: Take ~THE PLEDGE ~ Go to the main page and click on the 'take action' bar, scroll down and click on the pledge. Fill it in and fax it back.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch.

Thanks again for joining this historical effort. WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

My Best to YOU and Your Family in this tough economic time,

My last comment here was a little off-topic for the page here. Now for one that's more "on-point", as lawyers say. I really have nothing against wind-generated power. But the wind doesn't always blow. What would you when there is no wind? Would wind generators have storage batteries? After all, modern life requires that electrical power be available 24 hours a day.

There's something I've only heard of done on a small scale, but perhaps it should be done more:

Being a veteran of the restaurant business, I have seen first-hand that restaurants often generate enormous amounts of used frying oil. They have to dispose of this oil somehow. They usually do this by paying people to haul it off. If more automobile (and locomotive) engines could be reconfigured to burn used cooking oil, that problem would be reduced at the very least. If even more engines could be manufactured that way in the first place, the problem would be reduced even further!

Morning all! I'm so glad we've got a grasssroots movement for this one. It will create jobs as we go forward. Pueblo, CO is putting up at wind turbine factory and it's going to provide 5,000 jobs...and there's talk of a solar photovoltaic plant too. Even those stuck in the drill baby drill mentality have to agree that jobs is paramount in importance right now. And to get us off foreign oil too. MY, my, such a lovely win, win.
