Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Don't have much experience with alternative energy but i love the idea.
What excites you about this campaign?
It's the first actual plan i've heard about that actually makes sense and sounds like it'll work. Drill, drill, drill until the planet is bone dry is the kind of short-sightedness that's got us in this mess to begin with.
What do you want to do to help?
I'd like to help get the word out however i can.

Justin,

Welcome to the Georgia group!

I saw your post to Georgia Picken's Plan and am glad to hear you want to become a more active member. If you want to meet some like minded folks, you are invited to the meeting that will be held next Monday evening, August 25th. Details are given on the link below. Just RSVP to Sam Fleet if you would like to attend.

Another way to get active is to either view the 'Forum' column, probably sorted by 'discussions', and watch for a subject that interests you. Learn all about that subject and then start commenting where you feel that you can make a contribution. Alternatively, you could do a 'search' by keyword on the Forum page to locate some discussions of interest to you.

You may also want to identify some individuals participating in discussions that you feel are intelligent and are that are talking about subjects of particular interest to you. Then, go to their 'My Page' and click on some of the other discussions that they have been involved in. This is a good way to learn more about a lot of different subjects and phases of the plan.

You are, of course, welcome to visit my website at -

if you are interested in algae as a source of biofuels. I am not really pushing algae now because its commercialization is probably 5 to 10 years in the future, and then only if it can become cost competitive. Nevertheless, it is an extremely interesting subect, at least to me.

I am strongly supporting Picken's Plan because it is workable, has momentum, and can start being implemented almost immediately.
