Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Familiar with hydraulic positioning systems for solar collectors used by APS in their Chandler/Tempe AZ solar farm.
What excites you about this campaign?
The thought of producing domestic products once again, i.e. turbines, solar farms, power transmission infrastructure.
What do you want to do to help?
Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing capabilities. Our company has large capacity and large format equipment for all types of fabrication and machining. Our largest boring mill was commissioned back in 1951 and made parts for the booming coal mining industry. It would be exciting to see it "re-born" into the next power generating industry.

Congresswoman Giffords' "Solar Technology Roadmap"

Lately a number of AZ08 group members have contacted me in regards to a letter they have received from Congresswoman Giffords. The letter outlines her belief in the most effective use of natural gas is through power generation and not transportation.

Those of you who have received the letter may have also received an email about the "Solar Technology Roadmap Bill" which she intends to introduce to Congress. For those of you who have not received the email, I have attached a copy of… Continue

Windpower 2009 comments

The Windpower 2009 show was quite and event. I have been going to trade shows for a lot of years, some of the biggest in the country like ConExpo - IFPE and NPE. These shows may have had more attendees (in the past), but I've never been to an industry event with such a positive, electric atmosphere. I'm… Continue

Keath,
I am interested in knowing if the group will lead by example in Cochise County with a business plan that I am interested in pursuing to create affordable, accessible senior housing combined with the use of solar that will be sold back to the electric company to create long term affordability and energy independence from the oil cartel?

Keith you made the final cut on the website my friend. You are somebody now. All you need is the 1st order to get the ball rolling. I did not even make it off the cutting room floor off the USS Midway.

We build true Zero Energy Lifestyle homes with the latest U.S. Oak Ridge National Lab DBMS report defined "Asymmetrical" ICF system (google that; see Figure 2 type 3 on the Chart 4). It is 246% more energy efficient than a wood/stud wall. Then we add a Geothermal/Solar Radiant energies management system which includes a Fresh Air exchanger instead of a recirculating HVAC unit. Our Technology Demonstrator display home is proposed for a new subdivision that is 100% infrastructure complete and ready for the Zero Energy model-home/sales-office construction. The developers will fund 80% of the total cost of the Technology Demonstrator Display home. We are trying to raise the remaining 20%...about $300K. That is a small "entry fee" to be involved in this $20Mil subdivision project. The developers have two follow-on projects as well, one is a Zero Energy retail/commercial MALL on 7.7 acres. And the other is an entire COMMUNITY with multiple multi-family Townhomes, shopping, services, restaurant, and entertainment structures, an assisted living facility on the Ideas Institute model, and several single family homes. Think of this as a Dell Web community on steroids and totally Zero Energy. IF you have appropriate contacts, please forward this information, Thank You ! ! So that's who we are, thanks for your contact. Don www.ZeroEnergyLifestyle.blogspot.com for photos, too.

Hi Keath and group. I have lived in Phoenix for 26 years coming from a very windy Wyoming. I am attending college and am new to the pickensplan as well. Solar is slowly becoming a passion for me, and I am doing a project for this class. If anyone would care to be interviewed this week, please leave me number. Thanks. JP

Keath -- I think Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords might sign on to the Picken's Pledge with some encouragement. That would make for a bipartisan Arizona delegation, now that Shadegg has agreed to join. Shall we approach her office for a meeting? Let me know...I would like to help. RJB
