- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- I am an electrical engineer who has longed to participate in renewable energy. My wife and I recently have put our money where our mouth is - two years ago we installed a 96 panel 13kW solar system on our home. We live in a rural area, have a well, pool, and my wife works at home, so AC on often, so we have been a heavy electric user. We are actually cash flow ahead with the system! Now looking to build an electric vehicle for my commuting, about 30 miles a day.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- Finally someone sees the future. Oil will go the way of the dinosaur eventually - it is time to get off the tit of the foreign oil mongers and warlords. Time for big solar and big wind!

Contact and "Friend" the New Energy Army Regional Leader for your state; you can find them to the right, in the Featured Members section. Let him/her know that I sent you there and you are interested in becoming an organizer.
PICKENS U We are recruiting "Campus Coordinators" for colleges and universities to represent the Pickens Plan on campus. We are looking for someone who can create a college page on the Pickens Plan site and also on Facebook encouraging folks to sign up for the Pickens Plan.
If you are connected to a college or university in your state, can be a campus coordinator, or can help find a campus coordinator, please let me know so we can get the process rolling.

The onshore and offshore installation of wind turbines in Denmark and Germany are producing 20% of all their electrical needs; in Spain, as much as 38% (please see examples in the photos on my page). We are 10 years behind in implementation compared to these countries!
I mention these examples to give us a direction for inspiration and point to where we could be heading with the Pickens Plan. The technology is already there and we do not have to reinvent the wheel. These are a few of the websites I would suggest you visit to see what others around the world have done and are doing:

Here are a few great videos to see: “Saved by the Sun” a PBS NOVA video, and “A Crude Awakening” by Basil Gemlpke, et al. Americans need to mobilize and pressure our government representatives both on the state and national level. The Pickens Plan is a good place to foster discussion and share ideas and PUSH this plan!
