I say...."I am gathering support for T Boone Pickens Plan to get us off of foriegn oil. we need to keep the money in this country." Boone has done the hard work - folks are getting it. We just need to gather and input their names. It is that easy. I have gathered over 650 new supporters since August. Many have tolkd me they appreciate Boone's updates. Many have become more involved... all have become moreinformed.
Ask any questions... I have been doing this a long time. I am very willing to help in any way I can.

I am one of the welcome wagon crew. We are all volunteers. Out of sheer numbers I greet daily I have a paste and copy note.
It is not intended to overwhelm you, just give you a direction and some contacts.
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.

Looks like the much talked about stimulus package passed. Mr. Obama has voiced that eliminating the dependence of foreign oil is a top priority. Now is the time we hammer our elected officials to allow companies and the private sector to run with new tech and needed infrastruture changes; allowing grants & insentives to help us achieve the energy independance goal!!!

- 1)I have studied domestic Oil consumption of the United States for several years now. Have lived in larger cities where local government vehicles were run on CNG gas. We need to convert our cars to this form of Energy but need the Oil Companies to offer more stations using CNG gas or Hydrogen technology. That's the RUB....of the whole matter(so to speak). Using Corn to make Ethanol isn't the answer because in the long run a corn shortage will cause a world-wide famine which is starting to show now. Our Natural Gas supply is abundant and native to our continent as a supply source. We need more US Legislation to offer Tax Incentives to promote new Energy company start-ups which Germany already offers in abundance. This Nation and it's Political leaders have been A-Sleep at the Switch right up to this Mortgage Crisis which has begun a Global Recession. Matthew 24 ???
Using Natural Gas in trucks would reduce Oil use by 20%.
2) On Average, The earth's surface temperature is rising which is causing the Arctic Ice
Caps to melt which in turn is raising sea levels around the world. This possible 3-4 degree Fahrenheit increase in temperature will create:
A) A mass population migration into the billions (if not managed) causing;
3) Wars in the host countries warns British Economist Lord Nicholas Stern who recently spoke in Cape Town, South Africa;
4) The combination of approaching drought and an increase in surface temperature are causing food shortages in many nations and flooding. Past droughts have been traced back to a change in the patterns of rainfall due to an increase in surface temperatures;
5) Many animal species will be threatened with extinction by the melting of the Arctic such as polar bears and sea lions;
6) Global warming has also contributed to massive flooding in the farm states of the United States and in Europe in 2008 (England and Germany in particular);
7) We have learned recently that many bird species have flown north into Canada because of the rising surface temperatures in the United States;
8) Water shortages are now common in places such as Las Vegas and Atlanta, Ga.;
9) Bee populations have decreased (due to pollution) whose pollination of many plants are responsible for many of our fruit and nut crops.
10) In 1986 I studied the General & Permanent Funds re: North Slope Oil Fields
for Governor William Sheffield of Alaska 1986. (Through FY 1998)
11) Long-time correspondence with Political Leaders and Media Broadcasters from major Networks from 1981-Present.
12) QUESTION- Will the next World War be over OIL as the Bible indicates ? The most dangerous ignition source in terms of Global Conflict between competing Nations is Economic Depression. We are already seeing political Upheavals in many countries
due to this current Economic collapse which will affect the Global Economy and Political Relationships for decades to come. (Read Daniel Yergin's & Martin Hillenbrand's 1982
book (Yale) entitled GLOBAL INSECURITY which tracks the Economic effects the 1973 Oil Embargo is still having on the Global Economies.
13) Also read the book The Harvest by Rick Joyner which describes exactly what is happening to the Budgets of local governments right now such as California. When police officers can't get PAID (and pay their bills) they will have no other choice but to quit their Departments and look for suitable work elsewhere. This will eventually lead to a nation that is ripe for takeover by criminals. The negative effects of this Local Budget Crisis is already being felt in cities like Columbus, OH., Atlanta, GA, and Phoenix, AZ. to name just a few. This is one reason why gun sales are up 300% -- but weapons aren't the Political or Economic answer, they are only a temporary reaction to the current Economic Malaise. (Key C: "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother"___da da da).

- The Organization and dire need to get off foreign Oil dependency.

2) Possibly speak at Community Group Meetings when the budget/time allows.
3) Wake our citizens up to what our Energy Alternatives and Choices are by writing a concise Blog such as the one above.
4) Write a great Song about the whole challenge ahead of us and put it on the Net.
