Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I'm very interested in alternative energy and am convinced we can meet our current demands in an eventually all renewable manor. I'm a civil engineer by trade, so I'm hoping to work towards incorporating AE technologies into future projects like wastewater treatment plants and for water pumping.
What excites you about this campaign?
Real action. It's great to see someone with the means put their money with their mouth is. I'm also excited to see the depth of understanding in that major changes are needed and private industry will not be able to accomplish this immense task without legislative guidance.
What do you want to do to help?
I would love to find a way to utilize my engineering expertise to further the cause, whether it be in the AE profession or on my own time.

Illinois District 14 Leader Dan Nippert here from Geneva and willing to go though the District to help promote the plan and get people involved. nippickensplan@live.com
You joined, you care, you waited and it’s time to act in our Country, Our State, and in our own District as well as in our own Communities.
ISU too Kimberly. Let me know I’ll help and get our Regional Leader involved, Right Jeff?
Our New Administration is listening… and aware of Pickens Plan and who we are. Wheels are spinning and things are happening.
Boone is calling for our help and we all have been asked to join the District 14 group and recruit as many more District 14 members as possible.
We all have joined but, need to join the Illinois District 14 Group.
By joining District 14 we can communicate more effectively with each other and have a better chance of getting where we need to go as a District if we want to be heard and do our part on promoting the plan. A LOT HAS HAPPENED SINCE WE JOINED.
AND with our joining the Illinois District 14 group We, the supporters in District 14 will have a much greater voice and better chance of being heard by Illinois Senator Durbin and Congressman Foster in asking for their help and support like so many other leaders of their stature have.
Congressional District 14 Pickens Plan Leader here (whew) and about three weeks ago I was appointed by Jeffrey Boeyink the Regional Leader for Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky to help T. Boone get 500 new supporters for each Congressional District which prompted this solicitation for your help.

Hi, Illinois
'Green-collar' jobs a growth area, U.S. group says
Companies are stepping up their environmental initiatives, and that may mean a boom in "green-collar" jobs.
A recent forecast by the American Solar Energy Society found that renewable energy and energy-efficient industries were responsible for the creation of nearly 8.5 million jobs in 2006, and by 2030 that number is expected to reach 40 million.
Colleges and universities are taking notice, according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc., a job placement consulting group.
Many have introduced specialized degree programs in eco-commerce, environmental accounting, green and social marketing, and ecological economics.
"The demand for 'green-collar' jobs is really exploding, especially as the cost of energy continues to climb," said John Challenger, the group's chief executive. "Students need to start thinking about developing skills that will give them an edge for these types of careers that did not even exist until recently."
Popular jobs include urban planners, forestry professionals and environmental lawyers, Challenger said. There is also a growing demand for architects and engineers with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit.
Kenny,
Yes to most of your questions regarding Pearson Technology, Inc. We did have a working relationship (Technical Partners) with B & V. However, Bruce V. has recently left B & V, to rejoin Stan Pearson and Pearson Technology, Inc. for new adventures in the "syn-gas' business. Although ethanol can be a primary end product from this process, most new investors now plan to use this synthetic gas or "syn-gas" for electical power generation. Thank you for your interest and comments. We welcome your research and encourage you to spread the word regarding the Pearson Technology, Inc. process. Let me know if you would like to get in touch with Stan Pearson or Bruce V. to discuss the progress that has been made in this technology.
Great question and the answer is.. there is no reason we can not buy the land itself (providing the owner wants to sell it).
Two things you may want to know.
1) Most of the best land in the U.S. is already on lease to the Utility companies for this reason. But the lease agreements are not as good for the current owner as we would be willing to make it. The curent owners are making money just looking at it.
