With the first anniversary of the Pickens Plan 4 days ago, there is an opportunity to renew our efforts. I need help writing letters to editors in local newspapers and contacting legislators. There are some exciting times coming between now and the inauguration. Boone is challenging us to get to 2 million members by inauguration day. I am asking you to reenergize yourself and contact all your friends and get them to sign up for the Pickens Army. If they don’t have email, there is a signup sheet that you can use and you can submit their names etc. if you read the news this morning, OPEC is going to raise the price of oil and reduce production by another 2 million barrels a day. We absolutely must reduce our dependence on foreign oil. I like to use this phrase when it comes to doing things. “The best decision to make is the best one. The next best thing is the wrong one, but the worst decision to make is to do nothing.” I know you must be concerned about alternative energy or you wouldn’t have signed up for the PickensPlan.
