What excites you about this campaign?

The potential for this program to assist struggling agricultural and rural communities with a new source of income for their economy... the potential for new jobs.. and the decrease in dependence on foreign oil.

What do you want to do to help?

Being a military spouse, the only thing I really have the extra time for right now is to FORWARD the link to your site and to spread the word to friends and neighbors.

Unlike the banter I get from many of my counterparts in other branches of the military, I did see combat, perhap0s not like the OIF/OEF, but nonetheless Desert Storm amongst many other operations, most all of them classified. in my last 12 years of service I worked in the counterinsurgency program with my fellow Army, Navy and Marine intelligence (Yes..military intelligence..I've heard all the jokes!) So thank to your husband...stand by your man during this time...it's tough on everyone. I wasn't so lucky and my marriage ended..it's not for everyone. However...I'm grateful that I was able to raise my daughters and one of them and two of my twin nieces (they would spend the summers with me and my daughters) thought I was too strict..so these girlies ran off and joined the Marines...hahahaha. Gotta give these girls credit..one of them is back from Iraq and my daughter will be on her way in early January. It sickens me to hear Obama say that Marines are bombing villages and killing children....almost seems like hearing those war protesters from the 60s...I was a baby then, but anyway..that's another story. Thanks again!

It seems that the last several emails left on this site were so "blame oriented" I certainly appreciate your emails balance and hope it catches on. No one person, president of can do all of this. Putting all of our bickering aside and personal likes and dislikes, we need a comprehensive energy plan and it's more than drill, drill, drill. We need to bridge the gap until we can get there. Some of these bloggers are blind to the reality of importing foreign oil. Thank again!

While I refuse to grow up ;-) we can all play (some call it work) together well ... those who don't will be put in time-out ... because as you pointed out we don't have time for the continuation of the crap that got us where we are.

YOU CAN HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.

PLEASE DOWLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back ASAP. When we are millions strong, we can achieve this.
In addition to the PLEDGE, we now also have a RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON on the main page, top right. Fill out the standard form and the letter is sent to YOUR Governor and Washington Representatives! Easy breezy. Perfect timing considering the energy bill is coming up. We must beat back the lobbyists!

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
...to wait and see...or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Write to your Congressman/woman. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your city or state, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch. I do updates on new member numbers and help with the pledge petition drive.
