Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
My family lives in upstate New York and recently they have started to build "wind farms" in the area. The farmers in the area are more than happy to lease out their land and it is putting money into the pockets of small farmers who have been struggling in this harsh economy. The energy is helping fuel the valley region where my family lives, and it is in areas where the "scenic beauty" of the upstate mountains is not obstructed or detracted from. I do not see a down side to the use of this type of energy.
What excites you about this campaign?
The idea that our country will be building jobs at home, will be keeping our hard earned dollars at home as opposed to funding oil empires abroad is so exciting. Our country has been crippled by outsourcing in the past 30 years and the worst outsourcing that we are guilty of is outsourcing our energy! We have sent trillions of dollars abroad in the past decades for cheap oil only to find that we lack any other alternatives...but lucky that is not really the case. The Pickens plan is a real alternative, a solid roadmap, a proven method, and thank God an actual PLAN to getting us off of our "oil addiction."
What do you want to do to help?
Anything and everything I can.

Hi Krissy!

I have found that petitons are the best way to spread the word AND sign up supporters.

Here is HOW TO TURN THE PLEDGE INTO A PETITION!

I find it easiest to take one pledge, cut off Boone's lines under the pledge and add a sheet of lined paper under the pledge instead. I put NAME - ADDRESS - EMAIL across the top and fill in the first line to set the format. Most are more willing to sign where others have already done so, rather than the single pledge at a time approach. Everyone understands a petition.
I ask if they would "sign this petition in support of T, Boone Pickens energy plan to get us off of foreign oil?" Hand them the clipboard so they can read it. I do not require the signers to give me their email if they are reticent - don't let that be a deal breaker - some just do not want to give it.

Check out the 100CLUB group page to see how others have accomplished the task. (it is the first goup on my page) When you send/fax in 100, let me know, we will gladlyinvite you to be a member of the 100CLUB. Your leadership on this will inspire thousands!

There are over 150 people in the pledge challenge that I know of right now. Surely, there are many more that I am unaware of, as it is in many greetings. Those 150 willl bring 15,000 new members. If each brings just 5 friends, these 150 will be responsible for 75,000 new members.

This is the approach that works best for me - I tried many. Hopefully, this will encourage you to take the challenge, too. CAN YOU HELP?

When will we ever have a golden opportunity like this again?

BEST
Kim

Hi Krissy!

Please congratulate Dianna Brown, she has joined the 100CLUB today- for those that fax/send in more that 100 signed pledges! In addition to her pledge push success, she drives the Welcome Wagon often, providing a steady and passionate hand in sharing our goals to new members.
She is a Picken's Hero!

Best to you,
Kim

Change to a Better Design in Spark Plugs, a little like changing light bulbs, easy to do with an impact for all. Spend $40.00 - $50.00 now and save $200.00 per year on fuel.
