What we need is a National and Global Directory of all fueling stations that could be made available to everyone. If you have a list or information about an NG fueling location, let's all share it. I'll compile it and create a PDF formatted handout.

I just read that article! It seems our energy secretary is not all too excited about CNG as a vehicle fuel. Lets show him he's wrong!

Letter to President Obama via Change.gov

Change.gov offers a chance to email the president to express your vision of change. I encourage all of you to do the same. I took his energy policy, pasted it into the body of the message, and added my own thoughts (preceded with "---"). Putting a lot of emphasis on the words "Pickens Plan" near the end!

---Thank you for taking the time to entertain the ideas and actions of the American People you serve. As an employee of the natural gas measurement industry, I have a personal agenda to spread… Continue

3000 CFH Prover

Well, I'm almost done with the new Energy Economics, Inc. Sonicnine Prover which will double the measurement capacity of the standard EEI Sonicnine Prover to 3000 CFH. Our partnership with Sensus Metering in this project is going well and I look forward to pushing the limits of the domestic and large volume meter measurement systems to it's potential.

Benefits to the common Joe are that less expensive (ultrasonic) gas meters that have no moving parts and require less maintenance are available f… Continue

Fuel Maker should be announcing the new owner within a week. The major points of contract negotiations have been completed. (I am told)

It was an unexpected blow to the dealer network but with new blood in the system we are all expecting a stronger, more vibrant comapny going forward.

Some Great Info on Federal Income Tax credits for refueling stations:

Income Tax Credits of Alternative Fuel Infrastructure
PL 109-58 provides for an income tax credit equal to 30 percent of the cost of natural gas refueling equipment, up to $30,000 in the case of large stations and $1,000 for home refueling appliances. The credit is effective on purchases placed in service after December 31, 2005 and expires December 31, 2010. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (PL 111-5) increased the value of the credit for property placed in service during 2009 and 2010. The credit value for these years is $50,000 or 50 percent of the cost (whichever is smaller) for business property and $2,000 or 50% of the cost (whichever is smaller) for a home refueling appliances.

"Opposing New Coal Plants in Nevada" - Sen Reid (Nevada) on opposing new Coal plants:

Nevada’s abundant renewable resources can make our State a national and global leader in clean energy production and technology development if we work together to make that happen. Given those incredible free-fuel resources, there is no good reason to divert billions of dollars from their development and instead build new coal-burning plants in eastern Nevada using out-dated technologies that spew pollutants that damage people’s health, deplete precious water resources, reduce visibility in our parks and communities, and add to the growing risks of global warming. In addition, building new coal plants would commit ratepayers to paying billions of dollars in imported fuel costs for the next half century or longer, and would not improve Nevada’s energy independence. I will continue fighting proposals to waste Nevadans’ money on new coal plants with old inefficient combustion technologies. Our long-term goal should be to finally free Nevada from its dependence on fossil fuel and electricity imports altogether.

Lance, I'm embarrassed. The day you sent me the “Friend” request was one of those days I was rushing around trying to do too much. When I saw your note I didn’t take action immediately thinking I’d get to it later. As a result I lost it, sorry.

Welcome to the Pickens Plan Army. I encourage you to join the Pickens Plan District Group MN-01 (http://push.pickensplan.com/group/DistrictGroupMN01). Thanks for your encouraging words. I'm surprised at just how much negativity there is on this site, because I thought the point was to change things to the way they could be, rather than whine about what's wrong. Honestly, I get discouraged sometimes, and a positive notice from someone goes a long way to keep me trying to make a difference. I really appreciate your positive input, and your positive outlook. Thanks again. WCE
