- In grade school we had a science show that I participated in.With some help & guidance from my brother-in-law, I made a steam powered tiny generator which traveled to light a light-bulb.IT WORKED! I was facinated. That's where it all began.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- Both saving the planet, and ending our dependence on foreign oil. Alternative energy(s) will reduce utility costs;create jobs; reduce carbon and sulfur emissions. Homes can be retrofitted with their own electrical generating systems. And much, much more....
- What do you want to do to help?
- Educate the public on our import cost of oil and our70% dependence upon those imports. I want to educate the public on alternative energy(s), and their immediate importance to society and wildlife. ALSO, I WANT TO ADVOCATE EVEN THE TINYEST OF IDEAS ON ALTERNATIVE ENERGY
ALL TO OFTEN PEOPLE SAY ''I HAD THAT IDEA YEARS AGO'', BUT THEY NEVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE SOMEONE CARE OR TRY TO HELP THEM WITH IT. I SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE. S I WANT TO HELP IN ANY AND EVERY WAY.

If you think that the windmill idea was a blast of fresh air, my high school students will be participating in a national event base on an unmanned robotic vehicle powered by a hydrogen fuel cell and a solar array charging unit. The project begins in June and takes the kids right through May the following year.
Oh I do like volunteers, (thinly desguised but people who really want to help the kids learn and have a great deal of fun in the process) call me if yoiu have an interest. 570-582-6723

Here is something I posted on the district leader board - it helps to frame the recruiting/support building process. Please ask any questions, any time! I look forward to working with you. WE CAN DO THIS.
"....I simply try to talk about it with everyone I meet and run in to. EVERYONE wants to get off of foreign oil and EVERYONE understands that we need to keep the money in this country. WE just need to gather their names. IT really is quite easy - Boone has done the hard work.
Keep it simple. I say... " I am gathering support for T. Boone Picken's Plan to get us off of foreign oil. Can I add you to the 1.4 million supporters already on the list. We simply must keep those billions in THIS country."
I try to get 2-4 every day and they add up. I know for certain that it works.
The key points are:
1. We can not just "spread the word" - people are busy, and although they mean well, most will not take the time to go to the site and join us. We need to control the process by taking name, address and email. It takes just a few seconds to input manually. The link is in my first message to you or on the site at TAKE ACTION, VIRTUAL MARCH, upload signups.
2. Everyone that I signed up gets Boone's emails. Some have become more involved, ALL have become more informed. One person at a time we change the paradigm of thought on energy in this country.
3. We are lucky, unlike our forefathers, we do not need to take up arms to change the course of history. We need to go out of our comfort zone a bit and ask. Are we willing to do that?... or not?
4. When will we ever have a chance like this again? We must put our heads down and plow like hell. Our numbers will be critical to get Harry Reid his "60 votes" he will be looking for (Energy Summit) when he puts transmission, smart grid and renewables on the table. WHEN WILL WE EVER HAVE A MAN LIKE BOONE AT THE HELM, willing to spare no time and expense to change the course of this nation?
