Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
My only experience with alternative energy is what I have heard from Mr. Pickens. I am an avid supporter of his plan, though!
What excites you about this campaign?
The idea of lower fuel costs and cleaner fuel excites me about this campaign. Plus, I love the idea of building our own economy instead of that of other countries.
What do you want to do to help?
I would love to do anything to help. I am about to move to Tulsa, OK, and would love the chance to be involved with this project in anyway possible.

Happy New Year Laura,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Laura, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

Welcome!
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement. Look up your local leader from map on home pg.

On the home page, click on Daily Pickens to hear the latest from Boone.

We need to Push.PickensPlan.com – or “Push” as we like to call it.
Our future really does depend on us at this point in time!
If not now, WHEN? If not you, WHO? I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.

Well as they say (the large lady voiced the end). Neither candidate openly gave his support outright for our plan. Both new about it and to a degree felt the intense support behind it. It goes back to another old saying, on the political platform be careful how far you put your foot in the door.
Keep in mind As Sara Lee tells us (you cannot please all the people all the time).
Again Welcome; Tom

Hi Laura,

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining the Pickens Plan. I just wanted to let you know that a real person out here appreciates you taking that first step.

After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to guide your path. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and when you are comfortable, letting others know about the website. The people here are interested in making the plan a success and those you invite should be able to see for themselves that this is the right place to be.

Here are further steps you might consider.

- Visit the My Energy page and get involved.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202)225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.

Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.

Welcome once again and thanks for signing up.

Clynton
