- One of the problems with this type of question is energy is energy. We have to stop thinking about energy as an alternative and start working on how we use it and how we make it. We need to use less energy; I have saved $5.5 million in electricity for CaliforniaI. With my experience in the energy fields, we can increase our energy output with energy made from stainable sources. This knowledge is why I founded CoolingEarth.org. We can fix our problems: Help Nature Heal; use energy efficiently; make our lives sustainable; rebuild the ozone layer; research geoengineering; restore our oceans. This starts with ending imported oil (especially with the peak of oil) and to save Earth from global warming by inventing a low orbit satellite (an electric airplane, a cruse ship in the sky) powered by PV solar and wind generation where the excess energy is used to cleanup the atmosphere by producing liquid air (an energy carrier) and liquid air is used to power a new class of pneumatic electric car engines as well as other equipment.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- We have a great oppertunity to work out a by-partision supported bill in Congress to give us oil independance. Pickens Plan is a great starting point, we have to move it forward! And that takes your help. We have power as a group to change governments (Federal, State, Local and Districts)-reduce their oil usage. We have power as investors to change corporations and replace board members; as voters we have power to remake government, but we have to run for office if they will not end imported oil. Pickens Plan is about ideas, technologies like CoolingEarth.org that will change the way we think and then live. Many are making ideas available and educating us. We all have something to do. Use our resources wisely and we will reap the returns, like our grandparents generation did.
- What do you want to do to help?
- I am working hard to get governments to change. The CoolingEarth.org plan is by 2020, the USA will be a net exporter of energy again! This is possible only with a dramatic shift in the way we make and use energy. Research is the key to developing the new systems we need. I am working on electric airplanes that need a new type of propulsion and light weight compressors and PV solar. I continue working on a new concentrating solar power plant (11 proposed sites), electric storage systems (2 proposed sites) and a new power plant that makes liquid air. I am working on (and hoping we all work on) a pollution surcharge (instead of cap and trade), a progressive national sales tax (normal: 10%-5% local, 3% state, 2% federal), a fat tax (so we make more bio-fuels and bio-plastics) and ending convention IRA's so we do not have a threat of depression in 2016 as baby boomers reach 70 and a half with required MRD. We have to work on getting sewage treated water out of our rivers, lakes and waterways because of pharmaceutics and ammonia are killing our fish, frogs and birds-we drink the water too. I continue working with PickensPlan.com because it has many of the same interests as CoolingEarth.org and Natural gas is much cleaner than other fossil fuels.

America Continues to Waste over 70% of the Energy it Consumes.
100's of millions of lights unnecessarily burn during the day and night, over heating and over cooling is the norm, over packaging, inadequate recycling, toxic landfills, horrendous road congestion, and our perverted obsession with road construction. Public and Private buildings, Schools, Churches, Homes, ... America's blatant energy waste and overuse is culturally pervasive, and abominable !
1- ONLY with a substantial and tangible economic reward/consequence will most Americans care to conserve.
Crude oil must be taxed at $200 per barrel and offset by making income tax begin at $60k.
Taxing energy is simple, fair, economically sound, and available TODAY.
2- The American auto industry must quickly transition to the 6.4 BILLION people reason$ to manufacture solar, wind, and other alternative energy producers. They already have the needed infrastructure. Every home and building in the world, could be using solar energy. We are fast running out of fossil fuels !
Humanity is racing toward extinction, via global warming, for our failure to stop our energy waste.
Taxing energy (in lieu of income taxes) is the ONLY incentive that will stop energy waste and cause renewable energy sources to be employed.
