- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- I bought my Prius Hybrid a few months ago as my first action of putting my $ where my beliefs are. I have also observed the wind farms developing in Eastern Oregon over the last couple years. So, while I do not have much experience with alternative energy I am adamant that America must begin now to curtail our societal dependence on oil (and all other depleting resources for that matter).
- What excites you about this campaign?
- I have been thinking about this issue for some time now and have come to the conclusion that it is going to take a grass roots movement to generate the inertia required to move our politicians. From what I have gleaned thus far, this appears to provide the infrastructure to activate the masses. And having Mr. Pickens at the helm will provide the needed recognition to not only get the horse out of the barn but to ride it to Washington DC.
- What do you want to do to help?
- I haven't read everything on the web site yet to know all the ways I might be able to help. However, I will do all I can to spread the word and solicit others to join the PUSH. I will contact my district leader to see what else I can do to help in our local effort.

We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.
For those of you that have already jumped in and have made contact with your local leader- thanks.
Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands, and please come back to these sites often as changes take place regularily. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.

Mr. Obama has voiced that eliminating the dependence of foreign oil is a top priority.
[Click here], to enter your zip code and be paired up with members in your area. If you want to be a leader for your area, you can also sign up on that page. If you would rather wait on a leader role, that’s ok we need helpers. An organization cannot be all chiefs.
There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by. I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.

Welcome. I just wanted to let you know that a real person out here appreciates you setting up an active account.
After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do.
Here are further steps you might consider, some of which you might have already done.
- Sign up to lead or volunteer on the District page.
- Visit the My Energy page and get involved.
- Find and connect with others using the City Search.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202) 225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.
