ACT NOW! Boone needs us! Now is the TIME!

Illinois District 14 Leader Dan Nippert here from Geneva and willing to go though the District to help promote the plan and get people involved. nippickensplan@live.com

You joined, you care, you waited and it’s time to act in our Country, Our State, and in our own District as well as in our own Communities.

ISU too Kimberly. Let me know I’ll help and get our Regional Leader involved, Right Jeff?

Our New Administration is listening… and aware of Pickens Plan and who we are. Wheels are spinning and things are happening.

Boone is calling for our help and we all have been asked to join the District 14 group and recruit as many more District 14 members as possible.

We all have joined but, need to join the Illinois District 14 Group.

By joining District 14 we can communicate more effectively with each other and have a better chance of getting where we need to go as a District if we want to be heard and do our part on promoting the plan. A LOT HAS HAPPENED SINCE WE JOINED.

AND with our joining the Illinois District 14 group We, the supporters in District 14 will have a much greater voice and better chance of being heard by Illinois Senator Durbin and Congressman Foster in asking for their help and support like so many other leaders of their stature have.

Hello – This is Ron Hartman –

Did you see or hear President Obama’s speech given on January 20th after he swore to uphold the Constitution and the laws in our land? It was very dynamic but I was a little disappointed. Did he mention ENERGY INDEPENDENCE AS GOAL #1 as we have heard him say before! I don’t remember him saying so – but we believe it’s #1!

I’m the Administrator for the ENERGY PARTY in ILLINOIS and we are looking to build a base of support for the PICKENS PLAN and encourage everyone who lives here in Illinois to get to know their Congresspersons who represent them and to make sure they also know that we are watching them and we’re insisting that they support the Pickens Plan for ENERGY INDEPENDENCE FOR THE U.S.A.

They must learn this is the #1 priority in America! This should be on President Obama’s first 100 day agenda! And they must realize it is even more important than the TRILLIONS in bail-outs for our mismanaged banks and mortgage lenders….

And we expect them to end the giant sucking sound of $700 billion/year of our hard-earned $$ going overseas to build ice palaces, skyscrapers and islands in the seas in countries that would otherwise still be sandy deserts - without their oil.

To learn who is your newly-elected Congressperson and their addresses and phone numbers and fax numbers, copy this link into your web browser:

https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml

We also encourage you to help us in any way you feel comfortable, as a member of the ENERGY PARTY. There are no dues or contributions solicited. If you have not as yet joined, please consider doing so, now.

As equally concerned citizens of this great country of ours, it is up to all of us to take our country back from the control of greedy special interest groups like OPEC and Big Oil in America! The current drop in gasoline prices, for whatever its true reasons for happening, is forecast by many economists to be only a temporary reprieve from an energy nightmare of increasing dimensions.

As a Pickens Plan supporter, you are my friend – so please help us!

Sincerely,

Ron – living in the 11th Cong. district of Illinois (south of I-80 and east of US45)

Hi Len,

I believe Cary District 26 has the perfect location for wind turbines. They built the new Junior High School on way too many acres, at the top of a high hill. Interestingly enough, it's also quite close to the power lines.

My husband, Chris, is on the District 26 school boards. He is interested in moving forward with a plan.

Len,
I have been very busy over the past 30 days getting as many people together to move the funding plan in the correct direction. We are faced with a problem that it is obvious our government does not have a clue. We can as Americans make a change. Please go to www.usasolution.org the state of Ohio is now going to take the lead in this financial and energy mess that we are in. We have been hood winked into believing that the banks need to be paid first and that energy is something that needs a long debate. I and other business men in this state are taking the bull by the horns and not going to let the next president go into office without having a plan that we know and agree on. PLEASE TAKE THIS AS URGENT. We are in a crisis now! This plan needs to be done even in spite of what the new $800 billion plan is doing. We are now developing the full financial plan that is full of hard cold facts. The only way this country is going to change is by the people and it cannot be a slow movement. I worked in China from 1993 to 1998 and an old man told me that they only take one step at a time, but when 1 billion people take a step the whole world notices. If we do the plan that we are putting together it will fund the energy that we need here (from our own country) and we will start our economy as a wave that the world will feel. It is a $4 Trillion package and it not only pays for itself it will pay back our national debt and make our 401K's solid again. WE NEED TO START TODAY AND NOT WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW. I hope to hear from you very soon.

Jeff: I have been advocating renewables for a while now. One positive point as I noted, is that Energy Independence has been a visable National
issue. I have written and received replies from both Senator Durbin and Obama. The Republican National Committee has requested input and included a specific category for Energy. I, along with all the residents of the 14th congressional district recently received a mailing dealing with Energy policy from Congressman Bill Foster.

Illinois Public Act 095-0481 has some very positive goals for renewables, including.

The National Goal of wind being 20% of electric generation by 2030 is also a positive step. But as I have noted there needs to be a comprehensive program including other technologies.

Until the re-newables become more cost effective I believe it will be difficult to meet some of the goals. This is where incentives become important. Tax
credits are also important. The recent Rescue bill extended the tax credits for renewables and the Budget authorized significant loan guarantees for the auto makers to provide for technical advances.

Many local government agencies have specified and utilized renewable technologies, and in fact the federal government lhas mandated energy reductions for their facilities for a long time.

Illinois has significant wind facilities in place and continues to build, and has the grid to support them.

Until the consumer is willing to pay a higher cost for wind (and other renewables) the best road to success is pressure on the government, both local and National.

Beth: There are and continues to be a lot of people, including architects and engineers making the case for renewable energy, including wind. And there is at least one school district in Illinois with a wind system. Some of the issues with wind are cost and opposition.
It is also unlikely your building structure will support a wind system on the roof sufficient to provide enought energy to power your school. Don't limit you ideas to wind. Solar and geo thermal are also worth consideration.

Take a look at Illinois Public Act 095-0481 and you will see that there is some interesting regulation relative to electric generation goals with a great deal of emphasis on wind.

Get your students involved and get to your Board.

Hi Len, I am a teacher. I too believe that it is important to get the message out to the schools. I am trying to see how I can add Boone's plan to my area of teaching. What I think would be great is to find a way to get a wind turbine on our roof at school. I am looking for a grant that could help do that. I know a school district near us wants to add some to their roofs but there is a problem with if they produce more energy then they need they can't send it to other schools. Hmmmm ? I wonder if this push will change that.

Nice to see you on the plan. We hope that you can keep up the good hopes and help to work on a better, safer way to make our civilization survive the disappearance of oil one day.
