I have always thought we missed our opportunity in the 1970's after the gas shortages. When supplies went back up, we forgot that gas is a non-renewable resource, and this issue would reemerge. I'm glad to see it's not going to be forgotten this time!!

Take a look at the cd-12 Group page. I am not a good writer or never been an advocate of anything. Feel free to use any, all or none. Salisbury is really small and not much goes on here so that helped. I bake for recreation and would love to make something for you. Go for it!!!

I challenge you to get a letter to the editor in the W-S Journal. I will offer a batch of homemade cookies to you if you are successful. MMS

Hi

Thanks for joining…now that you’ve taken the plunge here’s what you can do right now to help bump up the pledge numbers before Inauguration day. Download and print this NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED petition form:

http://media.pickensplan.com/downloads/PP/pollingsignupsheet.pdf

When speaking to friends, family and colleagues, either in person or on the phone, ask them if they agree with the objective of American Independence from foreign oil. Just slip it into the conversation between the corporate babble, recipe exchange or play date logistics.

When they say YES (no one says NO), tell them you’re going to include their name on a Pickens Plan Petition with their email, zip code and phone. NO ONE will call or bug them (except perhaps you) to join the organization or do anything further if they elect not to.

Fill out and FAX the petitions to the number on the form and you’re done. You will get credit for the sign ups toward the 100 club. It’s easy and fast and there’s NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED.

There are only a few days left until Inauguration day. Do it now!

Thanks,

Hi Linda,

Welcome. We appreciate you setting up an active account.

After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do.

Here are further steps you might consider, some of which you may have already taken.

- Sign up to lead or volunteer on the Local District page.
- Visit your My Energy page and get involved.
- Get involved with others in your City or State.
- Find and connect with a like-minded Group.
- Start or join a Campus/Alumni group at PickensU.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202) 225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.

Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.

FYI: Got a message for T. Boone? Contact your Regional Leader

Welcome once again and thanks for signing up.
Clynton
