Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
a real "mother earth-er" very conscious of oil use; can't afford solar. always wanted to be self sufficient
What excites you about this campaign?
THANK YOU! this is the best thing to happen to this country! One man can make a difference. Government is out of it, almost. Like private enterprise. I pray Mr. Pickens makes huge dollars! Then they will regret not being the first one to do it. He deserves medal of honor. Your making it possible for the little guy to save money and help the environment.
What do you want to do to help?
invest in Mr. Pickens, if you have information on how to purchase stock etc. I would like to know how. Have very small savings but would like to do what I can to help.

Hello Linda,
I have to agree it's always me me me. There are too many Americans out there that may be too trusting, don't have the knowledge to work with in pursuing answers and action, are busy staying alive and think American Idol and Dancing with the stars are the most issues on TV. They'll call in to vote for their favorite but have yet to call the person they elected and tell them how mad they are about the issues, bad performance and lies. This Bailout issue was not a failure but a success in showing the elected government body that Americans have woken up by calling in to refuse to support a bailout. The people at the top walked with millions, sold a bad bill of goods and knew it, rape us on credit charges and interest rates and now want us to give them more money to do it all over again!!!! I don't want them bailed out. They will take our money, raise interest rates beyond belief and do nothing for any one except their own pocket. We should have bailed out homeowners by offering lower interest mortgages direct from the government minus the middle men to reduce all costs. That would have cost a lot less than 700 billion dollars and kept the economy stable while bringing a profit to the government and paying down the debt. Of course congress and Bush failed to stop speculators from inflating gas prices and all of them blamed gas companies and imports to cover up the truth. So many Americans failed to ask themselves why we were paying so much money for domestic oil. They just went along with the program.
Any way I hate to be a critic so I would like to get our 0wn candidates from across the country to run for Congress and the Senate to finally take control and straighten out this mess. Let's be honest, these politicians expect criticism and know that's all they will get but none would ever believe we the people would terminate their career by getting ourselves elected. All these guys boasting years of service in office should get ready to look for a job. They are all part of the biggest political economic failure I have ever seen. It is time for change. So do you want to be a senator or a Congress woman?
Hell again Linda,
I forgot to paste the info from Richard Masters. He is experienced and well versed in this area. His posts and articles are of value and importance. This was only an excerpt.

The Big Fat Stinking Dead Rat in the Refrigerator
Big Oil’s U.S. House Republican Study Group's "Energy Policy Brief"
How the Oil Industry Bought the Republican Party to Wage War on Renewable Energy
Compiled from Oil Change International, Open Secrets and On the Issues
with commentary by Richard D. Masters
The argument is elementary. A scarce commodity will demand a higher price until demand is met by increased supply. This is the argument used by the U.S. Executive and Congress to promote the Great Ethanol Fraud, a cynical, zero-sum political give-away program to transform one vital commodity (food) into another (fuel). However, when the true renewable industry tries to transform the unused "commodities" of wind and sunshine into energy, it is fought tooth and nail.
Your comment was well written and has much truth in it. I've seen many Americans get upset over government decisions but never look to take action. People in general go with the flow for various reasons. I'll list some and ask if you agree on any. Too busy running their own life making money, raising a family going to school and basically trying to pay the bills. feel powerless and have no one to turn to or way to make their disapproval known. Hidden truth. The issues and wording of them is such that only a lawyer may be able to understand it. So an average person cannot make a sound decision on a proposal if the context is purposely written to deceive the reader. Then we have the party die hard. This person votes for the party and not the person, The final product are those who don't care, know nothing of the issues, feel nothing will ever change and if they do vote ask a friend who to vote for. I'm looking for methods which will allow people to get involved, voice their opinion either way. My first thought is a mass media method reminding voters to tell their representatives know how they want their representative to vote. IF we can do a 1800 number for star search and dancing with the stars we can do it for our voters.
One obstacle I have seen repeatedly are tv ads by groups in conflict over propositions. This is not fair play as it only confuses the truth behind the proposition already clouded by legal jargon.
Hello Linda,
Thank you so much for that kind response. I do appreciate the offer to question your reps. I am personally upset with Americans hurting Americans and no justice being done, many elected people making speeches and doing nothing, watching the country decay and allowing a handful of minorities to tell them how to run the country. There are simple answers. You don't like God then don't pray. Don't wave another countries flag while you take every free benefit our government will give to you. I would make a bad president but this country would get kicked up a few notches.
The question for your reps is simple. the oil trading was obviously not base on shortages but for profit and did get out of control. The president and the commodities commission both knew this and congress should have been informed. Why did they allow the country to into economic decay and never use the document (below)

CFTC Emergency Authority Background. June 26, 2008. The CFTC currently has emergency authority powers, as granted by Congress and ...
Oil was put on the commodities market in the early 1980's and an be easily removed. Congressman Bart Stupak did a full investigation and yet nothing has taken place. What is going to be done and when? Drilling is pacifying a nation be lied to about prices. This will happen again unless they take action.
You can direct them to my site and let them know Americans have been pushed too far this time and are waking up.
Linda, this is an excerpt from a comment on my page by Richard Masters. You can copy the link and paste to search for the article. It is long but filled with some very explicit details. I was especially upset to once again see how many elected people are owned by oil industries and how few have voted in favor of any real alternative energy efforts.
so don't expect any real help from our government nor can we trust them. They'll all get on the band wagon, argue and give long speeches about drilling but in the end they'll stall for time because time and more oil sales is in fact money.
I'm really interested in hearing the response you get Linda. Some how i feel they will either not answer or skate around the issue with an unrelated answer.
Linda, I'm glad you posted the response you received. Most of these people don't respond and we know why but that's another issue. I can't contact representatives outside of my state or area as they only respond to those in their areas. So I would like to give something you can use to question your representative about.

That is a document giving power to stop commodities trading on products items when the trading appears to have gotten out of control and is no longer traded for availability but rather for profits, our oil. When the mortgage and banking market faltered investors turned to oil as the next available scapegoat and well you can see the devastating effects speculators had on our country. Yes this could have been stopped long before it hit $90 a barrel but was not. I've sent this to info to news stations and congress representatives but no one will respond. Yet some congressional members have done a thorough job of researching and presenting the facts to congress but still no action has been taken. About 16% of our was stated as being imported. We have a lot of domestic being pumped right here in the US. Why would we be paying ( just an arbitrary price) $120 per barrel for our own oil? Answer: speculators on the commodities market buy futures contracts on oil hiking up the prices long before it gets to a pipeline forcing oil companies to pay the market price. So all this hype about drilling will do nothing for the price until we get oil out of the hands of speculators and off the commodities market. We are all in a frenzy to convert but the same exact situation could easily drive up natural gas prices after we convert. I'm all for the conversion and saving the oil as a natural resource but tired of getting slapped in the face and handing over my earning to investors who have more money than god.
You can see some news videos and articles on this at my site www.essentiality.net/energy.html
NEW MEMBERS: Please do something today before you have a chance to forget or get busy with other things! Pickens can't singlehandedly solve the problem of the $700B outflow to pay for foreign oil, much of which money ends up in unfriendly hands. That is why he is asking each member to sign up 5 others members on the Pickens Plan. Surely you know at least five other people that would support a real plan to reduce our dependence on foreign oil NOW... please take this to heart; the survival of our leadership position in the world and our economic prosperity at home is at stake – please contact your friends, family and neighbors today.
PS. If Pickens succeeds all forms of alternative energy will benefit from this movement. He has a workable, achievable plan. All viable AE solutions will get a huge boost if the Plan can reach 1M members in 2008.
United we can/ Undecided we fail.
