- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- Since the 70's I have been interested in Alternative energy and am frustrated that we have failed to achieve energy independence. I have helped my son convert his car to a grease car and try to conserve energy as much as possible. I have educated myself about wind energy and solar energy and heat pumps, tidal energy and other forms of energy to the best of my ability. Although I do not have engineering skills, I do have a strong desire to turn this situation around.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- There is hope! The inability of our legislators to understand the needs of the American people is frustrating. Our own money through the purchase of foreign oil and foreign goods is funding our enemies. The only way to get the attention of our legislators is through a well organized grass roots effort. I believe that Mr. Pickens has the knowledge and the experience in this field to lead us in the right direction.
- What do you want to do to help?
- I will do whatever is reasonably needed to help. This includes making phone calls, recruiting members, mailings, hosting meetings, contacting legislators, drafting letters, opening an office in my building, or whatever else is reasonably needed to help out. I also would do research on various forms of alternative energy.
I am very excited about the project, and hope that you will consider me for a part in organizing in the State of Rhode Island.
