So why did CLNE not end up buying Fuelmaker?

Hi Lindsay, Will Clean Energy be at the LA Auto Show? I am taking my boys on the 28th and will be sure to stop at each of the manufacturers booths to ask them why I can't get a CNG vehicle from them.

Oh, and Lindsay, have you heard in Clean Energy Fuels will bring stations/operations to Nashville TN, or Peoria IL?

You would be amazed with the clean diesel engines that Caterpillar is developing for our large-scale construction and extraction machinery! I have yet to look into this idea, but I'm curious if Caterpillar has CNG as an engine option for any of the products.

'Green-collar' jobs a growth area, U.S. group says

Companies are stepping up their environmental initiatives, and that may mean a boom in "green-collar" jobs.

A recent forecast by the American Solar Energy Society found that renewable energy and energy-efficient industries were responsible for the creation of nearly 8.5 million jobs in 2006, and by 2030 that number is expected to reach 40 million.

Colleges and universities are taking notice, according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc., a job placement consulting group.

Many have introduced specialized degree programs in eco-commerce, environmental accounting, green and social marketing, and ecological economics.

"The demand for 'green-collar' jobs is really exploding, especially as the cost of energy continues to climb," said John Challenger, the group's chief executive. "Students need to start thinking about developing skills that will give them an edge for these types of careers that did not even exist until recently."

Popular jobs include urban planners, forestry professionals and environmental lawyers, Challenger said. There is also a growing demand for architects and engineers with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit.

Hi Lindsay,
I haven't been to the L.B. facilities but I have been to an Irvine station (not CE's, not very clean looking either) Does CE have a brochure that spells out their program for stations landowners. I am also trying to determine how I could project royalty payments for a particular location, to determine feasibilitie and a payback period. Thanks for getting back to me.

Hi Lindsay,
What do you do at CLNE? I spoke with Shaunt Hartounian the other day and he said that if I had the right location, CLNE would come in and put a station on the property and pay me royalties on it's sales. Do you have anymore info on a program like this?
He told me that the Fontana, Ca. area is desirable for CLNE and I know there is nothing south of Irvine until you get down to Oceanside, so I've been looking in these areas. I lived most of my life in Long Beach, near Marine Stadium, but now live in Laguna Niguel and work in San Bernardino, so I drive alot.
