- Not much experience directly but I am passionate about helping people and can be very vocal when it comes to shaking our dependency on foreign oil.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- Just being part of this plan in what ever little way I can is the most exciting thing! So many people feel as deeply as I do for this country and what we can do to get it on track for our childrens future.
- What do you want to do to help?
- I have property available that could be great for manufacturing or placement of wind turbines. If someone has any ideas for a somewhat small parcel of land (14 - 30 acres) located at two major highway intersections then I would glad to listen.
If anyone needs a place to gather I am willing to make room and do the cooking since that is what I do best.

This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. BTW, Michigan: I just posted an article on my page about Home Wind Systems in Michigan. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

PICKENS U We are recruiting "Campus Coordinators" for colleges and universities to represent the Pickens Plan on campus. We are looking for someone who can create a college page on the Pickens Plan site and also on Facebook encouraging folks to sign up for the Pickens Plan.
If you are connected to a college or university in your state, can be a campus coordinator, or can help find a campus coordinator, please let me know so we can get the process rolling.

My family lives in the Detroit suburbs and is directly effected by what becomes of the auto industry. Currently we have over a 10% unemployment rate in Wayne County and there seems to be no end in sight. Even though my family hovers near bankruptcy today, my hopes and prayers continue to be with this new administration and the change that needs to occur in order to break our dependence on foreign oil.
I am a firm believer in The Pickens Plan and how together we can create more employment opportunities here in Michigan that can not only improve our environment but can catapult our economy forward. We need to help the auto industry to re-tool not only to create eco friendly affordable vehicles but green-up all the existing plants.
We need everyone to realize that we here in Michigan can be seen as a CENTER OF EXCELLENCE. By sowing the best seeds our "auto plants" will not only thrive but will green-up our economy. We cannot do this alone and it is essential that all Americans stand behind our Auto Industry with an arm of support and not a fist to destroy it.
I am a 50 plus, unemployed, disabled, female with too many reasons to give up. I refuse to see the bright light at the end of the tunnel as a train coming but rather know that it is the energy created by all Americans as we power up our nation.
Let us roll up our sleeves together starting now. I will do all I can as long as the opportunity is available.
Hi Lisa,
We have new rooftop mount home wind turbine kits that I am building are great. The profile is pretty sleek and attractive. The system is actually a home appliance and doesn't really stand out much more than an antennae, chimney, or satellite dish. This makes a nice clean way for homeowners to get into the clean energy movement. The systems are inexpensive, easy to install and scaleable.
These systems have wind/solar built right in. The wind is stronger in the winter months, sun is stronger in the summer months, we designed a system that is attractively priced, that gives an even flow of energy year round. Wind power scales down in size to be perfectly feasible for a homeowner sized system to provide power for their home. Many customers have found it easy to become wind turbine customer/dealers. They are able to do this with no further investment and they see how easy people are to get interested.
I have used them to save money on my electricity costs and Lisa, you could too. The systems pay for themselves in 5 to 10 years depending on your local wind resources, and they last for 25 or 30 years before needing a rebuild. Have a look at these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. 2 is OK and anything over 2 is very good. Let's double check your wind resources are good.
