- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- I have been interested in solar and wind power in particular since I was in high school (graduated in 1976). It's my observation that U.S. has been sleeping regarding creativity and invention. We should have come up with simple ways to produce alternative energy years ago. It's never too late!
- What excites you about this campaign?
- It appears to be driven by a yearning for new ideas rather than greed. I like that!
- What do you want to do to help?
- I want to spread the word, communicate how simple most of these concepts are. They are not difficult or out of reach, they are right under our noses.

Leslie - Welcome Wagon Volunteer
I am one of the welcome wagon crew. We are all volunteers. Out of sheer numbers I greet daily I have a paste and copy note.
It is not intended to overwhelm you, just give you a direction and some contacts. I do read every profile page.
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.
For those of you that have already jumped in and have made contact with your local leader- thanks.
*************Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands, and please come back to these sites often as changes take place regularly. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.

If you would rather wait on a leader role, that’s ok we need helpers. An organization cannot be all chiefs.
There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by. I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.
