I checked and it looks like Joe Barton is listed as a co-soponser to HR 1835 also. There are presently 67 co-sponsers from all parts of the country. I would like to see double or triple that number though ... and then a passing vote. I hope this b...

Natural Gas ACT in Texas!

It seems like the US House of representatives is moving too slowly. The NAT GAS Act of 2009 is still sitting in Committee, six weeks after it was introduced. If we can't get the House to get moving, then I am wondering why we don't go ahead and move forward on the state level. Texas has much to gain by moving its vehicles from diesel and gasoline onto Natural Gas. I know that this has been occuring some, but I am seriously starting to think we need to also be applying pressure on our state legislators to encourage vehicles to switch over to Natural Gas.

Natural Gas ACT in Texas (and Louisiana) is needed!

Happy New Year Louis,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Louis, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. Below are some suggestions on how you can help.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES BY USING OUR EASY RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON - - With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to President Obama, our Representatives in Washington and your Governor, too.

Go to the MY ENERGY page. Register and make your voice count.
Go to THE PLEDGE Lend your voice to the call for American energy independence Fill in the short, standard form. Done!

Download the pledge/petition : get them signed, fax them in to the 888# at the bottom of the pledge, asap.
This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a leader, be a part of the "100 CLUB", by faxing in 100 signed pledge. Let Kim Anderson know when you are done and she will see that you are added to the list.

YOU CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.
Join us for a March on Washington.

They asked us to have you submit all ideas/proposals in writing to the Pickens Plan at: PO Box 12123 Dallas TX 75225.

If there is any way I can help, please, let me know. If I don't have the answer, I will do my very best to get you the answer.

Hi Louis,

Welcome to the Pickens Plan.

We all share the same goal; to rid ourselves of foreign oil and clean up our environment for our children and grandchildren. Wind energy is a viable alternative. Some of us have a different ideas of what we can do for immediate relief.

Join some groups, get involved and invite some of your friends to join you.

Check out our group "Live Carbon Free" and see how we are promoting conservation and environmental stewardship as the bridge to future energy developments. Regardless of what we do, it will take some time to implement on a significant scale. For immediate results we can make a huge difference by conserving what we have.

We would like for you to join our group and value your input. Feel free to add me as a friend..
