MIKE SUNDSTROM said… - One problem when with converting cars to CNG is government regulations. The EPA only approves conversion kits for newer computer controlled fuel injected vehicles. As you know there have been vehicles on the road for decades using CNG and/or propane. It should be much less expensive to convert an older vehicle with a carburetor than one with fuel injection and a computer.

- A chemistry professor I had in college said that things happen in nature because it is easier for them to happen than for them not to happen (he was talking about chemical bonds).
This is also true when it comes to alternative energy. Most people won’t start using alternative fuel until it is easier them to than not to. Sure, some people do it because it is the right thing to do and some people will do it because it is the 'IN' thing to do but, society as a whole will not change to alternative fuel until it is easier to change than not to change.
We need to make it easier for this country to use alternative fuels than it is to use foreign oil. This is the most important thing we can do for our national defense.

- I have been researching alternative fuels, via the internet, for the last 8 years. I am fascinated by them. I do not have the financing to do much with my research. But, I have ideas and vision of how to put things together and make them work.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- GREATER PUBLIC AWARENESS

- What do you want to do to help?
- I would like to open an alternative fuel vehicle center. At this center in the beginning, I would:
1.OFFER CNG refueling
2.Convert older vehicles to CNG to sell at affordable prices so it would be easier for lower income people to start using CNG
3.Convert newer vehicles to CNG for customers
However, I do not have the capital to do this.
