Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I have never been that in love with cars. I walk or bike almost every where and I enjoy capitalizing on getting my exercise from my transportation. I would not consider my lifestyle one which capitalizes on alternative energy so much as one which uses renewable energy, food.

What excites you about this campaign?

My biggest concern is the danger of an the energy monopoly of transportation which the oil market enjoys. I wish to see the transportation, energy market place divided into diverse options for consumers. The adoption of natural gas for transportation sounds like a strong step in that direction. I am also highly interested in bringing electric transportation options to the market. Hopefully we can shift our economy to include multiple choices for the wide variety of citizens needs. Some people like me only need feet and a bike. others just need a segue, or compact electric car for their daily commute. Other people will never give up their trucks or may need to fly. All of those consumers benefit from not competing for the same fuel market.

I could see a rancher out in the country with a windmill and a few electric vehicles never needing to think twice about what is going on in the middle east. It sounds like the rugged independence that lies at the heart of this country. It just feels like freedom.

What do you want to do to help?

I support Barack Obama as a candidate. While he may have issues with a few energy options of ours, I think his desire to break the oil transportation monopolies with plug-in electric cars shares a common interest with your plan. I hope you are successful in helping carry some of that political weight. This country needs that help in order to make this change.
