- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- Hobbiest level interest in electric in college. Recently have been focusing on learning about biodiesel production from algae, fuel cells that use hydrocarbons, geoexchange systems, domestic solar cells. Currently working on my first wind turbine, hopefully finished by next year.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- It seems to be a start. I think America can become fully independent of fossil fuels, but we need a successful motivated key person. I think a growing population wants to be less dependent on oil, but for the past several years there has been no leadership whatsoever to promote it. I would love to work on a team that has the common goals that I do.
- What do you want to do to help?
- Organize people and resources. Use my database, GIS, and scientific skills to generate interest and help lobby local and state governments to support alternative energy. Develop persuasive arguments, documentation, and presentations that promote alternative energy.

I am glad to not be the only person in Redding that cares about these issues. I hope to meet and work with you sometime in the future, as Redding is a prime location for building in advanced infrastructure and establishing alternate technologies.
