- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- My experiences are minimal with alternative energy. I have been wanting to purchase a hybrid automobile for several years now, but the cost is prohibitive. My husband and I own a home heated by fuel oil and we are expecting to spend some chilly days this winter and dole out a great amount of our income on heating oil. I would love to be able to afford an alternative heat source. (We can burn wood, but am concerned with contributing to poor air quality,
I am an ECO Consultant REALTOR in Western North Carolina and am focusing my efforts toward encouraging buyers to purchase and builders to build green, energy efficient, sustainable housing.
While my experience is minimal, I am wanting to learn more and to be a resource for good information. My wish is to provide folks with info that can help them with conservation, thus decreasing our dependence on carbon based fuels in the short term, and to do what I can to help END our dependence to carbon based fuels in the long term
- What excites you about this campaign?
- The fact that a successful oil man has educated himself enough to look upon alternative energy as our future is very exciting!
It sounds as if you are wanting to set up grass roots efforts and that makes me happy! It all begins at home, does it not>
- What do you want to do to help?
- Let me know about options available, and I will jump in where I can. I have prior experience in convention and meeting planning and would sure like to help organize sites, speakers, etc., for meetings again.
