Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I have been studying RE for the past 10 years, and would really like to take advantage of this resource, but until now, I have not been able to due to a lack of a place to do so. I have just recently purchased an old farm house, etc. on 20 acres, and plan to implement RE for my energy needs, with wind and solar being the main areas of intrest.
What excites you about this campaign?
For many years now, I have thought that using RE is a very smart thing to do, not only on an individual level, but nationwide, and now someone with the wherewithall to promote a RE plan on a wide scale in this country is stepping up to the plate, and trying to educate the people of this nation. Kudos to T. Boone Pickens
What do you want to do to help?
Anything that I can. I plan on purchasing a wind turbine with in the next year, and tieing into the nation power grid, and unlike a lot of people that I have talked with about doing this, I don't care if I get any sort of kickback from the local power company. This something that I will do not only for me and my personal feelings about how to help this country, but for my children and grandchildren and future generations.

We have new rooftop mount home wind turbine kits that I am building are great. The profile is pretty sleek and attractive. The system is actually a home appliance and doesn't really stand out much more than an antennae, chimney, or satellite dish. This makes a nice clean way for homeowners to get into the clean energy movement. The systems are inexpensive, easy to install and scaleable.
These systems have wind/solar built right in. The wind is stronger in the winter months, sun is stronger in the summer months, we designed a system that is attractively priced, that gives an even flow of energy year round. Wind power scales down in size to be perfectly feasible for a homeowner sized system to provide power for their home. Many customers have found it easy to become wind turbine customer/dealers. They are able to do this with no further investment and they see how easy people are to get interested.
I have used them to save money on my electricity costs and Mark, you could too. The systems pay for themselves in 5 to 10 years depending on your local wind resources, and they last for 25 or 30 years before needing a rebuild. Have a look at these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. 2 is OK and anything over 2 is very good. Let's double check your wind resources are good.
I didn't forget about your interest -- It is going to take time for me to receive postings from employers, especially when I noticed many I'm contacting are not members (yet) to The Pickens Plan.
In the interim, when you have a moment, please go to:

Review the postings and consider creating a job seeker's profile, set the search to 'Daily' and begin applying to opportunities of interest to you...don't forget to add a link to your Pickens profile which will allow a RE/AE company to review your genuine interest and involvement.
I wish you the best, keep your eye of PICKens Me! Jobs!
I apologize for the delay in answering your question re: where to post your resume @ PICKens Me! Jobs!
As you may recall, I launched this new group shy of 2 weeks ago, and the page format @ this site isn't the best for a job board like the ones we're all used to... My suggestion is that you copy your Accomplishments and Objective, along with perhaps the Experience most current and paste it into a new Comments Box @ PICKens Me! Jobs! along with how to reach you directly.
You should also scroll through the comments regularly as you may see potential employers, or great contacts that would be great partners to you in developing your property to the green dream you envision.
I wonder, because it is an old farm house, and you have the land -- have you thought of approaching your local and state community colleges, public and private colleges/universities opening your property up for use in RE experiments, trials or 'fertile grounds' for encouraging science, research and development?
Doing so could bring about some exciting works before your eyes without the need of investment from your part while providing the natural resources/place/land for education to advance progress in your region.....
I look forward to your thoughts. Know that I'll keep my eyes open on your behalf.

My name is RoseMarie LaCoursiere, and thrilled you joined this new group I launched over the weekend. You have exciting plans and times ahead of you with your property. I wish you the very best, and invite you to simply 'ask' if there's anything I can do for you.

Welcome and thanks for joining the Pickens Plan. We are a group of volunteers who want to end America's dependence on foreign energy. It is stupid to continue to send 700 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR to countries who may or may not be our enemies. We don't need money, we need members. We need 1 million members by election to show our leaders we are serious., so please help us by getting others to join. Check out the groups (click on groups at the top of your page.) and join those you like. Read profiles and add friends. You may add me as a friend if you like. I have a group that I send messages to from time to time. if I think helpful. We are non-partisian, because both canidates espouse some of what we are fighting for. Again, welcome, let's have some fun while we do serious work to SAVE AMERICA.
