- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- I have been looking to purchase a NG vehicle but I am concerned that there are no filling stations set up with a natural gas pump. In urban areas this would be relatively easy and cheap to do! So why not? We need a government mandate for such things to move it forward.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- It is a workable and reasonable plan. It also involves making a change in our society that the government can push with little, if any, backlash except from the oil companies. The general population can overcome the desires of the oil companies if we unite and push our agenda, rather than sit still and be subject to theirs. Let's make them do what we want them to do rather than the other way around.
- What do you want to do to help?
- I want to recruit people I come in contact with. Everyone uses gasoline or diesel. Everyone pays for electricity. Everyone fuels their heating in the winter with either heating oil, electricity or natural gas. It concerns us all and we must remove the power of the foreigners over our economy by reducing how much money they get from us.

YOU CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.
YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the Main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back to Boone ASAP. This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a leader, be a part of the "100 CLUB", by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let me know when you are done and I will see that you are added to the list.

Contact and "Friend" the New Energy Army Regional Leader for your state. You can find them to the right, in the Featured Memberssection. Let him/her know that I sent you there and you are interested in becoming an organizer.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.
PICKENS U has been formed for college alumni and university students to get involved. If you are or know of a student who would like to become an ambassador to help coordinate the pledge drive, please submit names to Pickens U site (found on the Main page). This would look good on a job resume.
PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not
1) increase our membership nor
2) influence public policy.
If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
