Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
During my term as mayor, I have created a Sustainability Committee to examine and advise the City on policy decisions pertaining to sustainability, including the links between environment, economy, and equity.
What excites you about this campaign?
I am excited about the opportunity to expand the alternative energy industry in Little Rock. LM Glasfiber and Polymarin are two major wind turbine blade manufacturers located in Little Rock and I hope we can continue to expand this industry.
What do you want to do to help?
Educate the community about the benefits of alternative energy to Little Rock, the United States and the world.

Let me congratulations on your hard work to bring energy independence to the US and the manufacturing jobs to make that happen to Arkansas. Well Done.
I would like to know your stance on smaller scale wind systems for residential and light commercial/office use. Since I live in Conway i do not know your zoning regulations. Would you be willing to entertain at the possibility of of looking at those regulations and modifying them, where practicable, to allow for wind systems?
Mayor: Glad to see your participation in this worthy Plan. As a person of influence, you can certainly help the grass roots effort to push our community leaders and other state politicians toward considering such suggestions as Tracey DuBose's for setting up a CNG energy station and converting the CAT fleet. This is an area where the new Obama administration's economic boost package would do lots of good by offering substantial tax incentives to communities and states that set up energy stations and convert fleets - as well as offer federal matching dollars to make it affordable in states such as Arkansas. On another note, and especially given that we now have the wind turbine production here in Arkansas, I would like to ask if Little Rock or the surrounding communities residential codes allow for individual residents to install personal wind turbines? Even if the cities would create an exemption from the utility companies being required to buy back excess energy produced, it would be a huge leap forward to allow these. Particularly given the extremely high electric rates we pay. Hope this is something your administration will look at and consider.
My name is Ross Yingling and along with Tracy am one of the Arkansas Congressional District 02 (known as AR-02) Leaders. I also live in Conway. We will be working together to build an Army of support and action that will grab the attention of the Nation.
On my Home Page I wrote an "Open Challenge" Letter to the people of Arkansas. Being an lifelong Arkansan, I am very tired of being the butt of national comedic jokes about our state and being last in virtually every statistic that matters.
Having lived in four other States from 1889-1998 while serving as a Naval Officer and a consultant, I am very passionate about changing the perception of Arkansas. I also believe The Pickens Plan is real opportunity to show the rest of the country what Arkansans are capable of accomplishing when challenged!
Your Honor, with your support I honestly we can grow the 2nd Congressional District of Arkansas into a National example for the Pickens Plan and the New Energy Army.
As Tracy said, there are a lot of things in the works including a movement to have leaders any every ZIP Code in our District. We would be honored to have your support and help in growing the membership and activism in the largest population center in our District.
Warm Regards,

Mr. Mayor,
Welcome. I am delighted to have you as a member of the 2nd District group. Just by your membership, you have inspired a change in one of my ideas for progress. I have a good deal of respect for your vision for the future of Little Rock and believe that you have done a terrific job so far. I am going to organize a meeting of some of the more interested folks in our group soon and I believe I have a starter idea that you will really embrace. I will announce when and where well in advance but if it does not fit well with your schedule then it will be rearranged so that it will. I initially considered trying to host a meeting with state representatives, but now, I think starting on a municipal level would be the best. Will you consider attending? Thanks for your interest. We can really change this country's dependence starting one city at a time.
Tracy

Welcome young man!
I'll give you my bit normal greeting just so you will be directed to the sites that will give you all up to date info.
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.
For those of you that have already jumped in and have made contact with your local leader- thanks.
Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands, and please come back to these sites often as changes take place regularily. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.
On the home page, click on About The Plan ~ Boone Cam ~ Blog

Mr. Obama has voiced that eliminating the dependence of foreign oil is a top priority.
[Click here], to enter your zip code and be paired up with members in your area. If you want to be a leader for your area, you can also sign up on that page. If you would rather wait on a leader role, that’s ok we need helpers. An organization cannot be all chiefs.
There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by. I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.
This is an easy first task I ask of you-
~~~~~~~PLEASE TAKE A PETITION TO WORK TODAY!~~~~~~
I am asking everyone to please take petitions to school or work or wherever you are going today! Everyone wants to get off of foreign oil; we just need to gather their names. WE CAN DO THIS, with everyone’s help. [Click here] for the Petition, then copy or print 4 or 5 and ask everyone to help, better everyone's future. Again, Welcome; Tom- Welcome wagon crew!
Glad to have more people that are already in public office and willing to admit we need to address our problems now!
Welcome. We appreciate you setting up an active account.
After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do.
Here are further steps you might consider, some of which you may have already taken.
- Sign up to lead or volunteer on the Local District page.
- Visit your My Energy page and get involved.
- Get involved with others in your City or State.
- Find and connect with a like-minded Group.
- Start or join a Campus/Alumni group at PickensU.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202) 225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
