- Installed solar hot water system on house, run ham radio station on solar charged battery system, formerly commuted on electric bike charged by solar cell system
- What excites you about this campaign?
- We must decrease our use of fossil fuels and our dependence on foreign sources. And more land for oil exploration is not the answer.
There is no reason that every house in Southern Cal cannot have solar hot water at a minimum and most could have PV. SDG&E has recently said that they are at only 6% renewable energy and do not believe that they can reach their state mandated goal of 20%. There are many areas of San Diego County that could be used for solar and/or wind generation especially in many of the housing developments in east county and reduce dependence on the grid and the expansion of high tension lines that can potentially cause wildfires.

- Work with groups to develop sustainable development and encourage expansion of wind and solar power in San Diego County
