My husband and I have been residents in the Sacramento Area for 40 years (since leaving Nebraska after College.)
We know many including our Congress representatives,both Rep. and Dem. and our local politicos.

The clock is ticking. Both Thomas Freidman and The Gang of 20 have told us (see DAILY PICKENS) the only way to change America's energy policy is to build this historical, grass roots effort to un-ignorable heights. There are less than 75 days until Inauguration Day. We must concentrate on the job at hand. CAN YOU GET 10 signed pledges faxed in asap? Many hands make light work.

It has been a while since we kept in touch last!
We are now over 1.2 million suporters. We will need many more if we are to beat back the damn lobbyists and special interests. Can you help with the pledges? Every American needs to sign on. With pledges we can fan out and reach so many. It is an easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. I was able to get 300 signed in the first 4 days - everyone wants to to get off of foreign oil. We may never have a golden opportunity like this again!

I was just in your neck of the woods (Oakland). Nice wind resources. Wrote a short blog about the trip in case you haven't seen it.
Welcome Wagon- I was welcoming all new members, and could not keep up. There were a few others out there doing the same. We streamlined and improved the welcome, and try to greet all new members as a group. We share the driving. Still some slip through, and it is a lot of work. Let me know if you want to help.

I am a telephone/systems engineer and I will be working near Oak Grove area. Looking to buy some real estate and put in all the alternate power sources I can. Create and or develope, have many ideas. Looking forward sharing and meeting you and all those folks who are into "save our resources for the furture". Will send you an email when we get to the Sacaremento area. My focus and efforts are to bring about awareness of compelling technologies that will provide our nation with abundant opportunities that will get us off of our dependence on foreign energy sources. In addition to this, I also want to let others know that we can in fact turn our current economic situation around by creating and developing new and better technology that we can provide to the rest of the world.

P.S. ETT would be a great compliment to the Hydrogen Highway Initiative that the west coast governors are working on for the I-5 corridor. The west coast states could become the showcase model that paves the way for America to once again provide much needed leadership across the globe.

If we can not get critical numbers how can we take advantage of this golden opportunity? High gas prices have "woken up" America to our plight and a paradigm shift like not other is in the wind. We need to do this now.
So many new members write "I want to help, what can I do?" This is a start. We may not get to the next step if we can not get this one done.
Our leaders can not ignore millions of members of the Pickens Plan. We are not there yet. One person can make a difference.
