Thank you Jay. Yesterday I thought that the Banks had become the new world Government because they control the money/power that drives the fossil fuel economy. While reading your post I had a few insights (I guess that is the word) and realized t...

John: I have been working in the wastewater field for many years. On one project we have been de-watering septic sludge and simply take it to the landfill. The effluent is treated in a series of aerated ponds with aerobic and anerobic zones. I a...

It behooves us to understand what has a higher probability to work. Good old coal is dirty, so extracting methane, or creating a liquid fuel (as the Nazis did during WWII) is a viable path. Albeit history has shown expensive. With modern chemical ...

Karl, I'm a big sports fan, but I can't afford the tickets. So I do what more people are doing these days, stay home and watch on TV. It's amazing that 50,000 people have the cash to spend on World Series tickets, and are willing to go sit in 40 d...

Hi Robert Schultz, Good Comment regarding liquification of NG. Have you heard of Sasol, com. The started making liquid fuels from coal gas (methane+) in 1970's for South Africa, after the 1973 iol embargo to SA. Wikipedia says that it is a commer...

Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Personal research only no hands on experience. I started researching solar and wind power strategies in the eighties. I think it is a technology that has come of age.
What excites you about this campaign?
Outside the obvious environmental and economic benefits is the opportunity for people to become proactive in resolving an issue which has continued to burden our economy and environment.
What do you want to do to help?
I want to work with existing distribution systems to aggreagate wind energy to puchase points.

Virtual March Starts Wednesday

I noticed you have not joined the District OK-01 Group. It is easy to join, simply click this link District OK-01 We made our goal of 100 members, which is great.

The District is a place for us to share information about what is happening regarding energy legislation. Alot of people say they don't care about legislation. I say we have to care, not caring is what has led us to the state of disarray we find ourselves in today.… Continue

Greetings:

A member of your waste to energy blog is ranting and this is counter productive. As the administrator for the web blog, can you remove his comments, so my members in NYS do not get the wrong idea. I am NYS District Leader # 2 and NYS State District Leader. I am turning off the message link and advising my members to do the same until this situation is resolved. You have a great blog, but there is a strange poster among the group who has been asked to stop by other members. He has not stopped his rantings.
Thought you want to know so wwe are not thought of as a fringe- but rather energy conscieence minded ameericans.

You might find ELLEN HODGSON BROWN's BLOG interesting reading. She is an author with a specialty in banking. I asked her about the GREEN BANK. Her response is posted. Luane referred her site to me.

Hi Mary ~
I am an optimist. And no matter how bad things get, my glass is always half full. I honestly believe that this will not be a prescedent for govt takeover of banks. But just in case I have to eat my hat in 20 years, I will keep a shaker of salt nearby. ;-)

Good morning Mary!
Tha bank is charterd for only 20 years, and it is noto the normal bank that you and I go to, but for American companies or entrepeneurs to obtain funding for the Green projects & creating jobs. I do not like the nuke power of it though. :-(

I'm through reading HR 1698, and I actually think the Green bank is a good idea. It forms the basics for funding the projects that we need to get started, to go green and create jobs. Bet part of this is that only American companies and products are able to get funded. :-)
I know we dont agree on this one, so we can agree to disagree. :-)
