Hi Sid Abma, The Picken's Plan family is very big in terms of where we have been. Your comment about the potential for recovering waste heat from exhaust gases is worthy of comment. The rising cost of fuel, especially gas and diesel has driven t...

The Pickens Plan is to use more natural gas across the country and less coal and imported oil. There is a lot of natural gas available, and it could last a lot longer if the natural gas that is being consumed would be done at a lot higher efficien...

Actually, grants shouldn't be provided for anything, by our federal government anyhow. The only way the feds are authorized to assist research is to provide patenting.

Our most untapped natural Resources are our students and chemist of the future. Grants should be provided for the research of many of these Ideas near Cattle feed lots, Dairy's, and waste Pond's; as well as landfills to further explore and test th...

If it's easy to change the easily produced methane to an easily liquefied form via some sort of hydrocarbon chaining to say, butane, that would be an excellent way of packaging it for transport to be used as fuel or further chaining for plastics.

Hi Waste to Energy Group, Chemistry was a favorite subject to me, since it fascinates me how the hydrocarbon chains are a wonder of nature. Our oil field hydrocarbon laboratory was set to where each hydrocarbon formation can be qualitatively and...

J. Jay, we are also looking at Methane Digestion and possible electric generation. We have considered stationary hydrogen fuel stations though instead of combustion due to the availability of clean water as a viable by-product. If I can be of any ...

Hello Jeff, Have considered the biomass conversion to oil, aka, biodiesel as a possible fuel outlet. The point is - unless we do the methane through hydrogen fuel cell electricity generation, we do not have any CO2 for pumping the algae. Not sure ...

Thank you Jay. Yesterday I thought that the Banks had become the new world Government because they control the money/power that drives the fossil fuel economy. While reading your post I had a few insights (I guess that is the word) and realized t...

Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Personal research only no hands on experience. I started researching solar and wind power strategies in the eighties. I think it is a technology that has come of age.
What excites you about this campaign?
Outside the obvious environmental and economic benefits is the opportunity for people to become proactive in resolving an issue which has continued to burden our economy and environment.
What do you want to do to help?
I want to work with existing distribution systems to aggreagate wind energy to puchase points.

Virtual March Starts Wednesday

I noticed you have not joined the District OK-01 Group. It is easy to join, simply click this link District OK-01 We made our goal of 100 members, which is great.

The District is a place for us to share information about what is happening regarding energy legislation. Alot of people say they don't care about legislation. I say we have to care, not caring is what has led us to the state of disarray we find ourselves in today.… Continue

Greetings:

A member of your waste to energy blog is ranting and this is counter productive. As the administrator for the web blog, can you remove his comments, so my members in NYS do not get the wrong idea. I am NYS District Leader # 2 and NYS State District Leader. I am turning off the message link and advising my members to do the same until this situation is resolved. You have a great blog, but there is a strange poster among the group who has been asked to stop by other members. He has not stopped his rantings.
Thought you want to know so wwe are not thought of as a fringe- but rather energy conscieence minded ameericans.

Good Morning Mary & Missy

You might find ELLEN HODGSON BROWN's BLOG interesting reading. She is an author with a specialty in banking. I asked her about the GREEN BANK. Her response is posted. Luane referred her site to me.

Hi Mary ~
I am an optimist. And no matter how bad things get, my glass is always half full. I honestly believe that this will not be a prescedent for govt takeover of banks. But just in case I have to eat my hat in 20 years, I will keep a shaker of salt nearby. ;-)

Good morning Mary!
Tha bank is charterd for only 20 years, and it is noto the normal bank that you and I go to, but for American companies or entrepeneurs to obtain funding for the Green projects & creating jobs. I do not like the nuke power of it though. :-(

I'm through reading HR 1698, and I actually think the Green bank is a good idea. It forms the basics for funding the projects that we need to get started, to go green and create jobs. Bet part of this is that only American companies and products are able to get funded. :-)
I know we dont agree on this one, so we can agree to disagree. :-)
