Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I am building a hydrogen generator for my car to improve its gas mileage. After I create a versatile, efficient design, I plan to build affordable replicas that I can help others install on their vehicles so they can save money and burn less gas, as there are many Americans that would like to help reduce our foreign energy dependence but may not be able to afford a hybrid or alternative energy vehicle. I have looked a windmill designs quite a bit, but unfortunately have only had enough money to work on the hydrogen generator design so far.

What excites you about this campaign?

There is an urgent need to separate ourselves from the oil network in the Middle East. It sways our politics to a ridiculous degree, making a mockery of the idea of a once just and powerful United States. Our independent spirit has been muted and misdirected in recent history, and it needs to stop. Most of the problems are connected to or stemming from "oil issues". You already know how much potential there is for alternative energy production in this country, and it excites me and pleases me greatly that someone who actually has the resources has stepped up to the challenge and begun doing something- you are doing exactly what I hoped to do someday, and I am overjoyed that you have beat me to it.

What do you want to do to help?

I would love to work in production or research and development for any number of alternative energy technology. I am a Purdue University student. I am pursuing an unrelated degree (psychology) but i have experimented with alternative energy design for a while. I don't have a degree yet, but I have a lot of ideas and a lot of enthusiasm. I just need a little direction.
