Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
For 13 months I have been employed as a Sales Manager for a Solar Energy Project Management & Finance Company, calling on community and commercial entities. With NO CAPITAL INVESTMENT required, we save entities money off their electric bill, while reducing their carbon footprint and dependency on foreign oil. We accomplish this by designing, building, owning the solar facility, leasing their roof or grounds for the solar facility and then selling them back discounted electricity, with a single digit, fixed annual usage escalation rate.
What excites you about this campaign?
A president that understands the predicament our countrys in, shares our concerns for resolution and will act with legislation and financial incentives to promote/support renewable energy. There is no panacea for our predicament but our expertise in solar, my contact list and no capital investment business model, places me in a great position to spread the Pickens Plan word, while having our solar company become one of the many instrumental pieces of the puzzle required to get us out of this situation.
What do you want to do to help?
I want to spread the word of Pickens Plan to everyone I know or have yet to meet, with the added possibility of getting more involved with your organization down the road. I also want to work with Jim Muhaw, District Leader 11-NJ in an effort to get his town to approve solar installations for all community facilities, while getting their endorsement and support when calling on commercial entities with the township. Basically, I want to get ALL municipalities and commercial entities to join/support Pickens Plan and go green.

Welcome!! Thank you for joining District Group New Jersey-11 for Morris County (along with some surrounding areas). We are glad to have you!!!! By adding your name to this roll-call you have enhanced a unified voice in the halls of our government by calling for the imperative of our focus on Energy Efficiency, Conservation, and the Development of Alternative Clean Energy Options. We now have a new President who has energized the imagination of our country and the world by proclaiming…..YES WE CAN and we feel…..YES WE WILL. Please reach out to others that you know within our area to join the group and feel free to participate by posting in the discussion area any relative information about renewable energy, conservation, current trends, especially if they are about the efforts of our governmental leadership here in Morris County and New Jersey..
In addition to this discussion group, since we believe that in order to make a complete mind-set change we have to bring awareness to our young people; therefore, we have started a new discussion group called T. BOONE ROUD-UP. It suggests K-12 education for conservation be added to core curriculum and a painless way for the Fed to provide State's with an incentive to do so. Although idea is still taking shape, take a look and let us know what you think. Here is the link: http://push.pickensplan.com/group/tbooneroundup
Finally please “Friend” both Jack and me so we have everyone covered. Thanks for all your support on this campaign and please don’t hesitate to become involved…..and lastly, YES WE WILL.

We’ve put together a petition and would appreciate it if you would go take a look at it
Sign our PETITION to tell President Obama and Congress to establish Federal Private Citizen net metering regulations.
Currently the regulations that guide utility companies in allowing customers to interconnect their private alternative energy systems with the grid are established by the individual states, they are erratic across our country with some states being generous in requiring utilities to allow interconnectivity and in other states the requirement does not exist.
The federal government has established generous tax incentives to foster alternative energy growth, but those incentives will not be effective in an area where the utility is not required to allow interconnectivity. A federal regulation requiring utilities to allow a minimum of 5% of households to interconnect to the grid should be established.
The regulation should also require utilities to pay for any excess power produced by these customer alternative energy systems at the current wholesale rate, which would be a further incentive for private citizens to have these systems installed.
Such regulations would encourage additional job growth in both the installation and manufacturing fields across our country.

We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.
*************Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands, and please come back to these sites often as changes take place regularly. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.

There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by. I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause. Again, Welcome; Tom
Hi Matthew, Here is a tool for all of us to get RE projects started through a recommendation for a new program of US Treasury "Energy Independence Savings Bonds". Savings bonds are normally purchased in $25 increments. This gives a way for just about any American to tighten their belts just a bit by skipping a meal at McDonalds or Pizza Hut and buying a renewable energy, RE, savings bond to support a project and save money at the same time for themselves. The plan is to have a minimum of categories for S-Solar, W-Wind, C-COOP. A purchaser would get on the US Treasury web site and purchase one that is for a project that he/she would like to support via credit card or PAYPAL. A different tab would allow tracking of the projects and transparency in accounting as President Obama has promised we will have in his administration. I've faxed and emailed my representative in Congress already and have a copy of a FAX sent to Nancy Pelosi on my Pickens blog. On my web page is a link for a new group that was started today called “Energy Independence US Treasury Savings Bonds” Please do not hesitate joining the “my friends” on my PickensPlan web page as well if you like this Energy Independence plan. My email is ke6cvh@yahoo.com.
