- I am active in the small wind space and have done a great deal of research on the Emissions markets and how they may be used to finance renewable energy and sustainable development projects.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- Although the US is relatively late to the game, there is clearly critical mass in the movement towards energy independence and sustainable development. It is my firm belief that while the recent run up in energy prices have had a dramatic effect on the economic viability of renewables, social and cultural forces will drive these projects to fruition where they have failed in the past.
- What do you want to do to help?
- Whatever I can.

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan with the rest of us. We are glad you are here and we need your help.

Did you know that you can send a letter to congress from the MAIN PAGE on this site? It’s easy - at the top of the MAIN PAGE (scroll up to the blue sky and see white letters) is a link entitled THE PLEDGE. When you hover over it with your curser, you can click on it. This will take you to a new page and there you will find a Red button that reads – CONTACT CONGRESS. Follow the steps and have your voice heard.
Be sure to check out my friends, as they are so smart, creative, educated, talented, hardworking, wholesome, friendly, helpful and very passionate.
Please remember why we are here, as we must help get our numbers up at a faster much pace and share ideas and resources. And get 5 friends to join this site, just as you have done!!!

YOU CAN HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.
PLEASE DOWLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back ASAP. When we are millions strong, we can achieve this.
In addition to the PLEDGE, we now also have a RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON on the main page, top right. Fill out the standard form and the letter is sent to YOUR Governor and Washington Representatives! Easy breezy. Perfect timing considering the energy bill is coming up. We must beat back the lobbyists!
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
...to wait and see...or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Write to your Congressman/woman. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
A GROUP FOR EVERYONE
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your city or state, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.
