Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I just think it is very important.
What excites you about this campaign?
A Texan is leading it!

Guess I should explain. I was raised in Texas and was glad to escape. After the Texas takeover of Washington, I was really miffed and worked to get rid of them. Their agenda was not the agenda of the U.S., just theirs, unfortunately. Texans in general think a little different than most of us. So, it was with joy that I saw a former oil man and Texan lead this fight.
What do you want to do to help?
Organize and make people aware.

I helped organize Democracy for America in NH.

Coal Industry Won't Quit!! Holds Up Energy Bill

HOUSTON — The natural gas industry has enjoyed something of a winning streak in recent years. It found gigantic new reserves, low prices are encouraging utilities to substitute gas for coal, and cities are switching to buses fueled by natural gas.

But its luck has run out in Washington, where the industry is having trouble making its case to Congress as it writes an energy bill to tackle global warming.

For all its pronouncements that gas could be used to replace aging, inefficient coal-fired… Continue

Welcome!
I am one of the welcome wagon crew. We are all volunteers. Out of sheer numbers I greet daily I have a paste and copy note.
It is not intended to overwhelm you, just give you a direction and some contacts. I do read every profile page.
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.
For those of you that have already jumped in and have made contact with your local leader- thanks.

*************Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands, and please come back to these sites often as changes take place regularly. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.
On the home page, click on About The Plan ~ Boone Cam ~ Blog - You’ll see the Pie-graph Mechanics.
Our future is focus 1- at this point in time! If not now, When? If not you, WHO?
Mr. Obama has voiced that eliminating the dependence of foreign oil is a top priority.
[Click here], to enter your zip code and be paired up with members in your area. If you want to be a leader for your area, you can also sign up on that page.
For our members in other countries [Click here ], to link to the International group.
If you would rather wait on a leader role, that’s ok we need helpers. An organization cannot be all chiefs.
There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by. I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.
Other fellow greeters will give you a more in depth list of things to do.
Again, Welcome; Tom
