Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
None. But I am originally from rural Sublette, Kansas, and have always thought that outrageous wind had to be good for something! I am renovating my home and have found that alternative energy for home use is still cost-prohibitive for average Americans like me.
What excites you about this campaign?
Again, I've found that energy alternatives for individual use are currently cost prohibitive for average Americans, which is ridiculous. I see people complaining every day about gas prices, but panic is setting in, and instead of being solution-oriented and looking toward the future, they want some kind of quick fix. That time, I believe, has passed. This is the first far-reaching plan I have seen to make a real change. And quite frankly, I'd like to find some way to put a wind farm on the flat-as-a-pancake farm where I grew up, so that I can return home!
What do you want to do to help?
I am willing to do legwork and anything I can do in my free time to help the cause. I don't have money, but I have passion.

Blown Away

Everywhere I go, people are complaining about the price of gas and its impact on how they live. I feel their pain. For the first time in life, I have to put off grocery shopping, waiting for the next payday to arrive. I look for little ways to reduce my own waste, drive econom… Continue
