Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I sometimes ride my bike to the store instead of driving.
What excites you about this campaign?
I think ridding ourselves of the reliance we have on foreign oil will put the power of our economy back in our hands. Our way of life is too much in the hands of other countries.
What do you want to do to help?
Write letters, send emails, talk to my political leaders

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. Here is how you can help.
Go to the MY ENERGY page. Register and make your voice count.
EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES BY USING OUR EASY RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON - - With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to President Obama, our Representatives in Washington and your Governor, too.
Go to THE PLEDGE
Lend your voice to the call for American energy independence Fill in the short, standard form. Done!
YOU CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.
YOU CAN DOWNLOADTHE PLEDGE on the Main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back to Boone ASAP. This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a leader, be a part of the "100 CLUB", by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let me know when you are done and I will see that you are added to the list.
On the upper right corner of Your Page, click on "States" to visit the Push Pickens Community for your state.
Contact and "Friend" the New Energy Army Regional Leader for your state; you can find them to the right, in the Featured Members section. Let him/her know that I sent you there and you are interested in becoming an organizer.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY …to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.
PICKENS U We are recruiting "Campus Coordinators" for colleges and universities to represent the Pickens Plan on campus. We are looking for someone who can create a college page on the Pickens Plan site and also on Facebook encouraging folks to sign up for the Pickens Plan.
If you are connected to a college or university in your state, can be a campus coordinator, or can help find a campus coordinator, please let me know so we can get the process rolling.
PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not
1) increase our membership
2) influence public policy.
3) If you know someone who is in the press, or someone who blogs, get them to cover this and ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

Hi Melanie,
Glad to hear it and welcome aboard. Just go to the local projects group, that is where all the information is. I will also send you an email when I know which one it is.

My ideal to cut down people's traveling distance for those that want to not only attend but to be proactive. Please choose either
of the two venues.
1)A meeting at Cape Canaveral Library. Computer and projector available. 11 am to noon and we can go to lunch afterwards.
2) Luncheon at Noon at the Piccadilly in the Rotary Room at Merritt Square Mall. Food but limited A/V available.
Our agenda will be to focus on local projects we can work on together. For example I will share my idea and research of reforesting
a local spoil island with Mangrove trees.
Please respond (RSVP) to the events and comment on what is your favorite choice, 1 or 2.
Once we get numbers up, we can get some speakers to talk on some appropriate topics.
Be sure to join this new group " Local Projects" where we can roll off local project ideas of others thus reducing our learning curve.
