- I'm currently employed by TPI Composites, Inc. in Warren, RI as a Senior Buyer in the Purchasing Department. Eighty percent of our sales revenue is derived from the sales of wind turbine blades to GE. We're currently enjoying exponential growth.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- The prospect of weaning ourselves off of our oil dependancy along with the revitalization of American manufacturing is very exciting. Our company has recently openned a new facilty in Newton, Iowa which will re-employ up to 500 former Maytag workers.
- What do you want to do to help?
- Anything that is required - lobbying, speaking to school groups, etc.

I am hosting a RI renewables Meet Up, Thursday morning fo a one hour coffee strategy session in Providence. Can you join us?
In the meantime, would you please download 10 pledges, get them signed and fax them to the 888# on the bottom of the pledge. It is an easy ask - Boone has done the hard work. We have over 500 RI members. 10 pledges each gets us 5,000 more RI'ers. I look forward to working with you.
Our RI forefathers were the ones who held up the process and demanded democracy hundreds of years ago. We have a long history of being the leaders on important issues. WE CAN DO THIS!

I am a lifelong Rhode Islander. I am working with the Pickens Plan folks to help with the "Pickens U" - college campaign. Do you know of someone in Rhode Island, at one of the colleges or universities here, that would want to get involved with supporting the Pickens Plan, and help us get off foreign oil, and on to American alternative and renewable energy sources! Now more than ever most folks realize the urgency of keeping that 700 billion a year here in our economy!
We have direct support from the top. This would be outstanding on a resume and be very fulfilling work for the right person.

This is urgent, because the Energy Bill in Congress is in danger of not passing! We are blessed that the creators of this site have given us the ability, with little effort, to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too.
Go to THE PLEDGE (at the very top of this page on the blue header) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done!
You CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.
YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back ASAP. When we are millions strong, we can achieve this.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
A GROUP FOR EVERYONE Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

I'm looking for a solar hot water system that can heat the water in my closed loop hot water heating system. This is called indirect solar hot water, if I'm not mistaken.
Glad to see someone else in the family interested in the Pickens Plan.
