Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I am an out of work electronics engineer. I have worked as a power plant supervisor in Navy nuclear power plants and have studied wind and solar power. My wife and I bought a Honda Civic GX 16 months ago and have enjoyed the low cost gas (literally we could fill up with pocket change! except the stations are unmanned and use credit cards).
What excites you about this campaign?
I have been concerned about our dependance on foreign oil for many years. I hope that your efforts are successful. Wind and solar are tremendous resources that we can tap. It is only a portion of the whole solution but it could be extremely important.
What do you want to do to help?
I can speak or write about our experiences with our GX or I can talk about nuclear power and what it can do for our country. I am a patriot. I love this country.

Back in '92 a friend and I were looking into doing conversions and compressing the gas at each person's home--we'd be the converters and the equipment suppliers for the home compression pumps... Our utility frowned, saying it was too dangerous, and we lost interest because gas was cheap then, making conversions not cost-effective. Sounds like you've done your homework, Michael! I appreciate your update! This could be exciting -- the country's our oyster!
Thank you for your info. We are in WI and retired. We are trying to stay in our home. Home heating this winter is a big concern. I had never heard about the CNG Honda. We have a large Honda dealer here in our community I plan to contact them to see if we can afford to make a switch.
Thanks, Kathy
In the Salt Lake Valley alone there are at least 6 fueling stations open to the public. There are other private stations but that is of no matter. The stations are spread across the valley so that my wife can always find a spot to fuel. Through the rest of the state there are station spaced at reasonable intervals. Our Civic GX is a dedicated CNG vehicle which means it is NOT bi-fuel. It only runs on CNG but we have looked at the station locator and determined that we could make it all the way to San Diego and back without difficulty, there are plenty of stations. Ask yourself, if there was a station selling gasoline at $0.85 a gallon, how far would you go to get the gas? In my last post I gave a web link to the government's fuel station locator. Check it out. http://www.eere.energy.gov/afdc/stations/find_station.php

Could you tell us about the CNG distribution that Uyah has? Since that is part-2 of The Plan, I think this info would be very useful.
Thanks
