Happy New Year Mike,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Mike, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

Mike,
The Plan has had the idea to reorganize its group by local congressional district. I am in TX-26 in Dallas. I found this to be a great way to meet local active member and more easily organize.
Please if interested, look up you local group in College Station. My group has 28 active members and we have had success thru our group efforts.

Greetings Mike, I have noticed you are from an area just north of Houston. Do you know of any links that can direct me to information in the wind power industry that is in what I believe to be the area you live in. Looking to relocate in the Conroe area, but that can change. And I am going to be open minded as to what I can do, and where. Thank you.

The Dallas area has an award winning coalition. They can be reached at:
For more information, you can
• contact the Clean Cities Coordinator listed below
• call the Clean Cities Hotline at 1-800-CCITIES
• visit the Clean Cities Web site at

If there's a more appropriate contact, they'll guide you. Kudo's for the sustainable/renewable construction techniques you used in your home. I think people must come to the realization that their heirs depend on us making the commitment to sustainability.

As far as sewer gas, I am aware that there are things being done in sewage plants, but not in the pipelines. There may be the next million dollar idea. Best of luck in all your endeavors.

It seems the governor of Texas has recently recommitted to cng in Texas. I would join 2 things to stay on top of things; 1) your local Clean Cities Coalition. They are very active in trying to bring infrastructure and vehicles back to Texas. In fact, I had a long discussion with them this morning at the National Convention for CC Coordinators. Are you closer to Arlington, Beaumont, or Dallas... I'll hook you up.; The other is my web site a cngchat.com. It will keep you up to date on every aspect of the cng world in real time. Tons of info and access to people that could direct you to training opportunities. Best of luck, we need more like you in Texas. I'm from Dallas/Ft. Worth myself and I still have a sister in Arlington.
