Hydrogen production

I would like to see the excess DC power from solar and wind to be used to decompose water into hydrogen.
Hydrogen could power our homes heating requirements.

I have a lot of red tape to overcome and site planing to do this winter. By next spring I hope to be completed with the planing stage and with some luck have some investment money to get the ball rolling. I also have built my fist solar panel at my house. It is a small one but is working well. I plan on building several more for home use.
I too have worked some with hydrogen and have a unit that I made to convert water to HHO. I plan build a unit to collect Hydrogen from water that is powered by solar. I will let you know when I have it completed.

The stars have aligned to create the possibility of a paradigm shift that is and has been urgently needed. We have an angry citizenry due to pain at the pump, a presidential election on the horizon, and a man with a plan to dramatically and imminently reduce our dependance on foreign oil, who has the resources, contacts and connections, knowledge and "will" to get it done.

Please share this plan with your circle of friends, family and associates. Unrge them to JOIN. As you know, it is simply like signing a petition. With large numbers of supporters, we can put pressure to bear on Congress to incentivize alternative and renewable energies, and insure that our future president will be a leader that will push for domestic energy solutions. JFK once said. "in the next 10 years we will put a man on the moon". He got it done. We need that kind of leadership on energy.

Time is of the essence. If gas prices retreat the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. How frightening to be looking back and apologizing to our children that we could not get this done when we had the chance.

Nice Avatar; it looks like you've already got a handle on Wind Power. ;-)

Hydrogen alternatives (both generation & storage) are a little beyond the intitial scope of the PP, but I would like to see more activity in the NEXT generation technology too.
There is no focus group for Hydrogen yet, but if you start one, I'd join up. Going off-grid, or feeding back into it are both good personal & national goals.
