Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
North Texas Energy & Environment Club is a student-led organization at the University of North Texas. We support Pickens Plan for an independent energy future. Visit us online at http://www.nteec.org

As a Collegiate Energy Association member, the North Texas Energy & Environment Club is connected to a global network of university student groups in North America, Europe, and Asia. We can help connect Pickens' initiatives to the global arena and promote energy innovations and professional networking.

NTEEC has weekly meetings and discussions about current issues on climate change, energy development, and resource sustainability. Texas leads the US in wind energy. With twice the generating capacity of California, Texas has the potential to lead the global economy in wind energy production and turbine manufacturing.

Join our club at the University of North Texas!

We have weekly meetings focused on climate change, energy development, and resource sustainability.

If you want to know more about going green and how to support the Pickens Plan on campus at UNT, please contact us at info@nteec.org.

What excites you about this campaign?
As a student-led group, we can help mobilize a "new energy army" by educating on campus and in the community. Alternative energy development can help boost the US economy by creating more jobs and new businesses.
What do you want to do to help?
At the University of North Texas, we organize student discussion groups dedicated to the Pickens Plan of an independent energy future.

In Texas, we can help unify efforts across the state at all major universities, with the goal of mobilizing a new energy army on every college campus in Texas by the time the new Congress takes session in 2009.

Energy is a global issue requiring local action. In the US and global economy, we can help connect Pickens Plan to the Collegiate Energy Association, a group of student-led organizations in North America, Europe, and Asia. http://www.collegeenergy.org

Env. Club Members,
Hello, my name is Jimmy Horn and I am part of the TX-26 group. We have a small but growing group organizing out of ‘Congressional District TX-26’, which includes Denton County, some parts of Lewisville, Flower Mound and that area.

We would be interested in you joining ‘Pickens Plan District Group TX-26’ and help support us in organizing our efforts in the Denton/Lewisville area. We do not require any time, work or money unless you decide you’d like to help with the effort, and then that is up to you on how much or little you’d like to do.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments for me about TX-26 or anything else. We look forward to getting to know you and exchanging ideas with you.

Our second meeting is Jan 6th, if you’d like to meet some of the members and get a better feel of the group.

Thanks,
Jimmy Horn

WELCOME and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. Here is how you can help.

Just taking the time to come to this site is your first step. Now onto the second one. Reading this and acting on it.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES BY USING OUR EASY RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON -
This is urgent, because the Energy Bill in Congress is in danger of not passing! With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too. Go to THE PLEDGE (at the very top of this page on the blue header) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done!

You CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back ASAP. When we are millions strong, we can achieve this.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
...to wait and see...or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

FOR MORE INFORMATION
Check out Pickens "August Call to Action"- for a course of action! Here is an informative video "Topeka, Kansas Town Hall Meeting": http://www.pickensplan.com/news/2008/08/04/video-of-the-topeka-town-hall

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch. I do updates on new member numbers and perinent info.

Thanks again for joining this historical effort. WE CAN DO THIS

THANKS AGAIN WW DRIVERS

Change to a Better Design in Spark Plugs, a little like changing light bulbs, easy to do with an impact for all. Spend $40.00 - $50.00 now and save $200.00 per year on fuel.
