The University of Florida and the Okaloosa County Extension Office is holding an Eco-Nomic Living Expo at the NWF State College campus in Niceville, from 10am-2pm. There will be ideas on how to save money, conserve resources and build wealth instead of debt.

Brad Bondurant said… - Hi Linda. War Eagle! I am interested to learn more about what it will take to convert my boat to CNG. Have you done such a conversion? The boat has a lot of room for a larger tank if needed. Can the existing fuel injection system be modified to inject CNG? The engine is a 5.7L GM V-8 with multi point injection similar to a Corvette engine. Considering that EPA doesn't require the conversion kit for boats to meet the rigorous standards for autos, it seems it would be simpler and cheaper than converting a car. I look forward to your response and cost quotation if you can prepare one. Thanks, Brad

- I have had a fantastic experience with CNG vehicles for many years! My father owned a company in AL that began working with CNG vehicle conversions and re-fueling stations back in the early 80's-@2000. So, I've spent most of my life learning about "all things CNG" around my father's shop by day and the supper table by night. My husband and I have natural gas vehicles. We believe in this so much that we are now an authorized Fuelmaker, "Phill", dealer/installer. We are very excited about the thoughts of others learning about how NGV's can improve their lives. It's a win, win, all the way around... clean air, saving money on fuel, and with a "Phil" you have the convenience of re-fueling every night from your own garage. You have to love that!
- What excites you about this campaign?
- What excites me the most about this campaign is the awareness of the alternative energy products. I can't even tell you how many people have NEVER heard of a vehicle that runs off of CNG. I think that we as American's should have options. We LOVE options and there are so many. If the vehicles were available, I feel many people would buy them. I can't wait for these cars to arrive at the showrooms! What a huge difference we could make for our country and for our environment! We need to "come back home" and stop giving our hard earned dollar's away to those overseas who hate us.
