Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?

Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize

Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I'm a spiritual activist with political awareness. I am an advocate of wind, solar, and alternative energies. I've done volunteer work for Organic Consumers Association, and at concerts and the like the hybrid vehicles are usually there. I also lived in northern california where the wind turbines have 'lived' in the Altamont pass area for years. I've never been able to figure out why, when we've had the technology for so many years, we haven't done something by now. I also am a Peak Oil and Post Carbon Institute avid reader/student and follow several of the various outposts.

What excites you about this campaign?

That someone finally makes sense.

What do you want to do to help?

I'm a teacher and I also go to school, so my time to actually physically go out and organize is limited. However, I'm a s-aging geek and type faster than most folks, and can do virtually anything on a computer, so I'd be happy to to help that way.

The stars have aligned to create the possibility of a paradigm shift that is and has been urgently needed. We have an angry citizenry due to pain at the pump, a presidential election on the horizon, and a man with a plan to dramatically and imminently reduce our dependance on foreign oil, and provide a bridge to future solutions, who has the resources, contacts, knowledge, wealth and "will" to get it done.

Please share this plan with your circle of friends, family and associates. Urge them to JOIN. As you know, it is simply like signing a petition. With large numbers of supporters, we can put pressure to bear on Congress to incentivize alternative and renewable energies, and insure that our future president will be a leader that will push for domestic energy solutions. JFK once said. "in the next 10 years we will put a man on the moon". He got it done. We need that kind of leadership on energy.

Time is of the essence. If gas prices retreat the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. How frightening to be looking back and apologizing to our children that we could not get this done when we had the chance.
